The legend of the Flying Dutchman tells of a ghostly ship that would every now and then try to send letters home. We figured we could make it a little more exciting than that...
XXV was released to celebrate The Jolly Rogers' 25th anniversary! The physical release included 2 discs with the first being a mix of songs like you'd find on all our albums and the second being all shanties, all the time!
Note that if you're buying or streaming these online, XXV is just the first disc while Shantytime is the second!

When I first heard this, I was on my lunch break at my college that I go to. When it came to the part where it said she’s called the Flying Dutchman and it’s rage that fills her sails, I spat out my drink and yelled at my friend that the drink got on,”aaaaye! New fire!”(which means something awesome to listen to.) this is incredible guys keep it up!

So the Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship and Davy Jones is the devil figure of sailors and pirates or simply death. I heard Davy Jones’ Locker was hell or the bottom of the sea. Great song btw.

Okay as someone who used to live in Florida and near the Caribbean you guys more less became my number one band because I grew up on Tales like these especially about the Flying Dutchman I'm telling you guys this song deserves more views Nathan all because you guys are so underrated as a band you deserve to be more in the spotlight and plus you guys have a real talent for this stuff! I genuinely love this song so damn much. I gives me so much inspiration to write another sea shanty, one of a ship just as fierce. This song makes me terrified of the Flying Dutchman, which is incredibly impressive as I don't even sail!!! Just a good, solid song. Amazing beat, amazing vocal, amazing inflection, amazing lyrics. Just a really good song.

I heard this song for the first time at the KC Ren Fest in 2021when we got back to it after 2020 and it felt like such a treat of a song especially so close to Halloween. Once I found it on Spotify it became part of my Halloween playlist. You guys are the one show I hit every year without at that KC Ren fest

Having missing albums on Pandora is common. I had a conversation with Pyrates! about two of their albums not being on Pandora. There's a few other artists I know with missing albums. So it's definitely on Pandora's end
