The difference between that Sheffield United side 19/20 and the one that got relegated this season is astronomical. Probably didn’t fully understand how good we were until I could compare that to this season. The passing, the speed of buildup play and the crossing… all of it was missing this season

What went wrong? No fans and a couple of poor very high transfers. Brewster and mousset eventually bombed. Brewster could still redeem.....30 mill a lot, furthermore Mcburnie didn't fire, team only scored 20 goals and there were a few injuries, including Jack at the back.

Lost JoC to injury, lost balance/energy & crowds to covid. Training during lockdown was off, but ‘found out’? Thin squad depth, but no point solely blaming Wilder. It was a cluster £#@k well out of any one person’s control, but yeah, an undignified departure. Thankfully, he’d brought Hecky in to succeed him.

@@PhilWhelanNow Wasted £120m. Hadn’t a clue when his one-trick tactic was found out. Showed his nasty side. Ran away. Now finding his true level. He’s finished. Why should he get the credit for the good times but no blame when it went very badly wrong?

He deserves both some credit for reuniting the fans with the love of the club, & some of the blame for mistakes made. I’m not a huge fan of his (we all have our flaws), but nor do I think he deserves completely slating. Some clubs waste £120m every season, & one look at the chaos in many a club & I think we’d be in great shape if PA had found a decent buyer.
