Hi, Malou here. I'm super excited to show you my new short film "The joy of skiing".
This film is a collection of moments from time spent in the mountains. It takes you on a journey through three different chapters: The joy of powder, the joy of exploring and the joy of home. Three elements of skiing that I hold extra close to my heart. It takes place in the snowy trees of Canada, sailing around icebergs in Greenland and in the remote peaks of Northern Sweden.
I hope you will enjoy it :) I started my filming journey with a GoPro a couple years ago, and to celebrate me and GoPro are giving away a GoPro hero 11 to one of you guys to share a bit of the joy of filming skiing. Winner has been selected and the winner is Jenny! Congratz.

Aaaaahhh, detta ger så mycket flashbacks från mina säsonger i Nya Zeeland och Riksgränsen! Så mycket igenkänning på att stå i en snöstorm med kompisar och skratta för man nånstans ändå bara älskar känslan av gött häng i backen med kompisar, trots att det känns som det snöar småspik i ansiktet :D Underbar kortfilm! :)

The first time hitting canadian Pow Pow as a european was unreal. Skiing in the rockies and the whole mountain culture there changed my life! Thanks for the awesome stories you collect and share here with all of us :)

I absolutley loved The Joy of Home part in the movie. To see all your memories through your eyes mixed with all the beautiful shots from skiing in swedish nature.🫶🏻 That gave me so much Joy to watch!

Seen it twice now and I must say that the clip with the excellent lighting at 7:57 that I first saw at your Instagram account gives me the most wow feeling out of all the great footage. That you ski close enough to the sharp edge of the mountain with all the other beautiful mountains in the background and as you progress further down the attention is more and more focused on your skiing and the sluff chasing you. Other close calls where the pillow lines in the beginning and the clips from childhood but I wanted to select one clip.

Even if it's just a few seconds I really enjoy when you take time and ski with the kids in Greenland. To see the pure happiness in the kids smiles when you race with them makes my heart skip a beat.

That was a favoruite moment from my winter, I think i was more stoked to ski with them than the other way around hahah, they loved racing straight down super fast, I do too, so it was epic. Their energy was contagious for sure! Thanks so much for your comment:)

I’m a fan of the quirky, the funny and all those moments in between the sick-skier-shreds imagery. I mean, the powder footage speaks for itself. But it’s your determination to include the human moments alongside the shredding segments that really makes this video come alive. Thanks for this.

beautiful! I really enjoyed the drone shots and the scenery and the skiing, it inspires me and makes me excited for winter. But mainly the scenes with the kids in greenland. Where to start.... This was so therapeutic to watch! The landscape, your skiing skills, your friends. Such a piece of art. Almost like watching an EOFT movie. Good job! This shows me again how grateful we should be for nature and its beauty. It provides our best memories, being alone or with friends. You're doing what you love with the people you love, something that is very precious✨✨

Great movie! I've always enjoyed skiing and watched a lot of ski movies as young, with Kaj Zackrisson Sverre Liliequist and bunch of other epic Swedish skiers. This movie brought those memories back, with the great joy of skiing, the amazing places you visited and the amazing nature we got to enjoy through your memories. But the best moment of the movie was chapter 3, where it all started. I then realized that we have such an amazing nature just around the corner in Sweden. from the low land in Småland and mountains in the north. Such a nice touch to add your old videos when skiing as a kid

Where to start!? Canada, Northern Sweden, Greenland, love it! Very well done on the movie. Best part if I had to choose is definitely chapter three, couple seconds only, but loved it to see all the kids skiing the moguls! Currently spending my first winter in the Canadian Rockies!

I loved your movie! My favorite part was seeing you laugh and dance with your girlfriends in paradise. What a wonderful piece of art 😊 I'm so thrilled right now, that I want to grab my skis and hike up into the mountains. But in Berlin it's not so easy...😅 my favorite part was the first chapter. The joy of powder and especially the parts where you glide and jump down the puffy rocks 😊 it just looks so smooth, easy and like so much fun! 👏 well done!

Love the moment when you jump down the pillow line as Father John Misty sings “our hearts are free”. So sick how the perspective flicks from the first person to the third, it’s insane how carefree it can look from the bottom and how gnarly it looks from above! Specific shots in the movie I love: The shot at 3 min 19 seconds, it's awesome, when we are left in your wake, the snow flying into the camera + 6 min 23 seconds focus on your boots flying through the snow is beautiful. The beginning 🤩 the end…but where I was smiling the most and probably one of my favorite moments is where you were skiing with the local kids in Greenland! Will definitely dream of pow tonight after seeing this ✨I find it absolutely crazy that all of it is just made of frozen water ! I can't wait for my trip in the alps to try to enjoy it as much as you do. And loved seeing you have a bit of a dance with the dog, I couldn't relate more than that, I would have done the same!

Loved the part from northern Sweden. Miss going into a valley and set up your camp with some friends. Making up fire a and scout the lines you want to ride the next day. Also fun that you mixed it all up with childhood footage.

Så bra och proffsigt!! Sjukt vackra vyer och landskap som filmades så bra så att det kändes som man var där själv och upplevde det. Jag älskade den delen när man såg dig åka skidor som liten, klippt till när du åker skidor idag. Så vackert att se utvecklingen inom något som man gjort hela livet och att kärleken till sporten är minst lika stor om inte större.

The last skiing-scen was my absolute favorite! Just a open field wich gives you the feeling of having the whole world as a skiing resort⛷️ it also reminds me of a skitrip i did to Abisko with two friends two years ago...

So inspiring! I love all that moments of life especially the very good shot of your tent in the middle of nowhere. Can’t wait to experiment in Norway, and would love some tips for a ski trip !

There are so many amazing moments from your film! I loved the northern lights shots, beautiful sunsets, skiing with your friends in Greenland, I also didn't realize there were such amazing mountains in Northern Sweden ! I enjoyed the pillow lines in Canada, I am also from Canada and live in Golden- was that scene filmed at Ross Pillows in Rogers Pass? I loved your film, you are a very inspiring skier ☺🤩

Truli enjoyed this video and it makes me really excited to go skiing. My favourite part is the NatGeo vibe with the narrative voice and the simple story of just skiing and enjoying life. I also have a weak spot for pillows :)
