I agree, I remember this video as I had to buy a ticket during the pandemic and there was bunch more banter and talking as this is the edited version. You can tell Naomi is so medicated that the meds almost make her look zombie-ish at times.. not to mention her hand shaking. So sad to see.

Listening to "River of Time," the book by Naomi Judd. Explains her depression and the why's behind it. It is never worth putting up with a parent's coldness like Naomi did. Best to get away from the monster and save yourself. Naomi tried over and over to "build a bridge" between her and her mother, but to no avail. It left her with an injured mind and soul. If you power up and walk away from toxic individuals, it is no sin. God won't judge you harshly. But He may put your former Hell onto the abuser. So be it. Survive and thrive, Naomi. No one will remember your Mom--but they WILL always remember The Judds.

I don't understand why either. She is a phenomenal song writer Infact she wrote alot of the songs they sung together.. which I'm sure you knew that..
@lahaza65153 жыл бұрын
I think she's pretty well recognized as a country songwriter. And I really don't mean that in a contradictory way, but tons of awards, millions & millions of dollars, the respect of millions of music fans, other artists & seasoned session players add up to "credit," unless there's some sort of credit I'm unfamiliar with.

Same here. I noticed a change in her when she was on stage with Reba singing Coal Miner's Daughter but not sure how long ago that was. She was treated with electroshock which did not work. They never found a proper drug for her, her depression is drug resistant. They turned to alternative medicine, based on what I just saw. Its not working...its truly sad, she made so many ppl happy and lived such a big life...

Naomi is a very tender hearted and emotional. From personal experience, being that way can lead to severe depression. 2020 was the hardest in recent history and all the in-fighting going on in this once functional country, it took its toll on me. However, I was able to still get out and about; whereas Naomi is in a high risk group and was probably home bound for a year leaving her drained. I saw Naomi once at a mall in Nashville, she was incognito but when we got closer, we knew it was her. She was walking alone, no security and I still regret not speaking and simply asking her “how are you?” I’d never seen anyone look so pretty, dressed to the nines in all black from her big hat and glasses down to her pumps yet looking like a lonely, lost, little girl. God bless her and I pray she gets all the peace and comfort in the world. If I ever run into her while out on errands, I will say “Hello Naomi, how are you today?” As Dolly says, “if you see someone without a smile, give them yours.” That action can work magic and it is so easy and cheaper than free.

Mine died in 1974 and it’s like it was yesterday. I was 10 years old & found him dying of a heart attack in our back yard. I will never forget that helpless feeling that I couldn’t save him. He was my world and I was his. He’s been my guardian angel ever since and I can even smell him sometimes. I wake up & see him standing at the foot of my bed. When I had Covid and was in ICU I saw him & felt his presence. My Grandpa was one of a kind and the greatest joy is I know I get to spread eternity with him in Heaven. What a glorious day that will be!

Heard them for the first time in 1984 and have been a fan ever since. In the time since then, Wynonna and Naomi have gifted others with their music. Year in and year out. Most people will never fully understand and appreciate the sacrifices of giving up their privacy and living a life in the public eye with constant critique so they could share their god given gift of blended voices with their fans. Wynonna has a "voice of a century" - she will always reign as a supreme singer to many.

Wynonna, just watched this dec 24th of 2023. I too am without my person. I listened to you and your Mom probably since the beginning. I pray for you as I pray for myself, that God, as only He can, will be with you and comfort us, during what was for me, an extremely special time of year! Like you, what I wouldn't give.....

Wy and Naomi have an inner spiritual beauty. Yes life moves on with God's plan, but since we are His children he knows before we do whats going to be blessed. I see comments about outside beauty or lack, remember we all are still God's creation....

It's sad to see Naomi in this state. Usually she's like a butterfly fluttering about on stage. Ya'll be kind, she's obviously not well. I was moved to say a prayer for her. 2020 has been a terrible year which made people's depression even worse.

Cameron ashton ... agree w/ your comment, : ) ...when people are on anti-depressants they can have an "emotion flattening" affect (ie) can't "truly" feel much at all / can't really feel "happy" nor "sad" - just feel "flat" ... and look that way too : ( which can appear "heavily drugged" ~

WY & Ashley please accept our deepest & sincere condolences. You two are angels & survivers. Be grateful 🙏 for all the blessings she did work so hard to bring you. We're now going through similar experiences with loved ones & have lost several of our loved ones to suicide 💔. Their struggle & challenges are very real & they are victims of this horrific illness. Know we are ❤️ loving, admiring you & praying for you & everyone with this struggle & challenge today. May more be done to help all of them.

Naomi suffers from severe depression I imagine she shakes due to the antipsychotic drugs she takes to treat her depression. That is why her facial affect is so blunted. She sure is still a beautiful woman
