From Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures comes "The Judge," which pairs two-time Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. ("Chaplin," "Tropic Thunder") and Oscar winner Robert Duvall ("Tender Mercies," "Crazy Heart"), starring together for the first time on the big screen. The film also stars Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga ("Up in the Air," "The Conjuring") and Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton ("Sling Blade," "Friday Night Lights"), and is directed by David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers").
In "The Judge," Downey stars as big city lawyer Hank Palmer, who returns to his childhood home where his estranged father, the town's judge (Duvall), is suspected of murder. He sets out to discover the truth and along the way reconnects with the family he walked away from years before.

The plaintiff lawyer is played by Billy Bob Thornton, that guy is a very versatile actor and this looks like a good movie.

i like this trailer because i wanted to see RDJ in roles outside of tony stark/iron man. this movie looks good and it has a stellar cast in RDJ, robert duvall and billy bob thornton. RDJ should do a lot more these types of roles and i hope its good because if it is, i smell oscar nominations for RDJ!

Yeah, Robert Duvall and Billy Bob Thornton have some history together (Sling Blade, The Apostle, Billy Bob Thornton writer for A Family Thing which starred Robert Duvall) add Robert Downey Jr. and Vincent D'onofrio = A GREAT FING CAST.

I'm a girl. And in no way a "fanboy/girl" i appreciate film and entertainment, the reason I came to watch this trailer. However I do get sick of people like you who feel the need to post stupid comments such as your own here. How can one play himself when it is a character they are playing?? How about avoid commenting negative things.... Oh but ofcourse, RDJ is a lawyer in real life isn't he, he is also a super hero, and whatever other fucking roles he has played in the past. Please if there is a comment to be made on this video why the hell cant it be positive like the majority on here?? Who fucking cares if the character portrays certain aspects of his own personality, the more the merrier, if it's a good film it doesn't even matter!!

***** Acting is part of what makes a good film. I think he keeps playing the same type of roles over and over again. His shtick is very one-note now, which is not a great thing to have in an actor's arsenal. It's like he's playing different versions of his Tony Stark character over and over again. It's boring as hell.

Well, I love the actors, and that about sells it. I'd see that movie. But boy that music sucks. That music goes with a movie you'd have to pay me to see. Hope it's not really attached.
