Guess we now know what makes a Tenderloin "Romanian" is the substitution of a cheap skirt steak for the tenderloin without a reduction of price. Always enjoy your content Danny.

It's not a substitution. It is the SAME . Romanian steak is the alternate name for skirt steak. There is no actual "Romanian ' tenderloin' steak". The word tenderloin was added on the menu which seems like false advertising...but Romanian steak=Skirt Steak.

Last thing I would order from a deli style restaurant is a steak and BBQ. It's just not there specialty. I would stick to the deli classics next time, if you decide to come back. Also, curious if you ever tried Bagelmania near the convention center. Its another deli style diner. Great bagels and honestly really great vibes. Grabbed a couple of bagel sandwiches to take to my room and also went in on a weekend to dine in, and they had there own old school Vegas singer serenading the crowd. 100% would recommend, but idk how holds up to NY standards.

The reason they call it a Romanian tenderloin steak for $38.95 so you can think it’s very special because it came halfway across the world when it was probably just raised in Texas

The last time I was in NYC, we ate lunch at Junior's at Times Square. Three of us with sandwiches and slices of cheesecake over $100. Merry Christmas to you Danny, Bob and all of the DtM family. 🎄🎄🎅🎄🎄

The best part was Danny the Medic checking out the salt and pepper shakers, the evil steak knife, and cuffing the mini A-1 sauce bottle! That was flank steak! Those are too chewy for Danny! lol!

You should have gotten the BBQ combo just sayin. The steak, reminds of Picanha, Argentinian steak with the onions and peppers. Glad you had a great time, with your friend Bob too. Cheesecake looked awesome..Happy Holidays and a Blessed 2024.

Order what they're known for. At Junior's, it's deli sandwiches, burgers and soup. I once went into a decent Manhattan diner with a friend. He ordered Veal Cordon Bleu. He complained that it wasn't good. Of course it wasn't. It's not a popular dish and not one of their specialties.

@@dannythemedic Yes, their cheesecake is good. But that's what Junior's is known for. Junior's had a kiosk inside the Grand Central Food Court for a few years. They had a great deal...Pastrami on rye, fries, a drink and a pickle for $10.95. It was a superb pastrami sandwich. Too bad it's no longer there.

I had a filet steak in Hungary 5 years ago, which is Romania's neighbor....Toughest and chewiest steak I ever had....practically inedible,...threw it away.

I love how Bob no-sells Danny’s observations…until the “chicken nugget of French fries.” He’s just doing his own thing. I’m in Vegas now, with $50 of F/B credit per night as well as a couple hundred in comps - it doesn’t go all that far these days, does it?

Too bad the steak was a disappointment & overpriced. It looked like a cheap cut of beef. The BBQ looked good and I wish Bob had at least sampled the chicken to give a rating. The cheesecake looked like it was worth it's reputation. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Juniors is overrated and overpriced. The last time I ate at the Brooklyn location I was underwhelmed and felt like I had been ripped off. In addition, they add a gratuity to the bill and still expect you to give an additional gratuity.

I have been to Juniors on Flatbush. It was ok, but I prefer the food and "ambience" of The Cheesecake Factory, although both experiences are uniquely their own. I am a true crime junkie, so now I'll take unnecessary notice of all men wearing suits and fedoras lol. 😅
