These fairground guys were legends, making a living out of experiences for others to enjoy. A great momento in this very special song of English history. We will continue to enjoy this great song whenever we like for perpetuity, with snippets of others loved ones going about their normal day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This is a very special song to me, it reflects the simple ness of England, or any of the uk, during quite tough times. Finding hope, reflected in this great song of stunning vocals. Frozen in time.

I am sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. I have been a Kane Gang fan since this was a hit in 1984. My dad died suddenly in a horrific accident last year and all the music I have loved from when I was growing up is now even more associated with moments in time from when he was alive. The music is the same but everything has changed.

@eightiesmusic1984

It was a hot summer. I remember it well. I was 14 at the time and the radio crackled with great songs such as Two Tribes FGTH, Jump by the Pointer Sisters, Time after Time Cyndi Lauper, Farewell My Summer Love Michael Jackson and I'm Falling by The Bluebells, to name a few. It was the height of the Cold war but ironically an easier time for many compared to what followed. It was also the Los Angeles Olympics and the year of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, including nine weeks at number one for Two Tribes.

@@warriorvet The collapse of values and discipline in society was starting to show then but it was nothing compared to today and that is not rose tinted glasses by any means. I am a liberal and on the left but more individual freedom in Britain since the 1960s has translated into a libertarian free for all which has not been replicated in other European countries where common standards and ( extended) family bonds are still strong. Much less inequality ergo lower crime.

What a song. Sad, dreamy, and hopeful all rolled into one - amazing!! Seems as though M Brammer wrote it to suit his vocals perfectly. Having said that, I would like to have heard the late, great Billy Mackenzie sing this. Prob one of the few people who could have done a cover of it justice.

Actually, it looked like he, the singer, borrowed BMc's clothes for the shoot; perhaps he's also Gay?

I absolutely loved this song and group growing up. Great voice and I loved the jazzy vibe. Who knows why they never really made it, they all probably hated each other. Great song!!

Wow! What a voice and group. The Kane Gang should've been one of the world's premiere bands of all time. The talent in the 80s cannot be compared with the inter-galatic garbage oozing from the radio these days. Just wish these guys were together putting out more CDs and touring the world, especially the USA; please come to Seattle!

Newcastle blue eyed soul - so well remembered, from a guy who'd recently 'moved up north'!

An absolute classic that slipped through the mainstream. Sounds as fresh today as it did then. BRILLIANT.
