La Toya Jackson is one of the most sweetest most kindest people on planet earth, she never deserved that back in the day, getting beaten, getting forced to be married, sometimes you wish you had a time machine! I’m glad she’s not in that position anymore, but still she still has those nightmares that she should’ve never had! I agree, but we have to be honest. The lingering criticism or perception of Latoya isn't unwarranted or from out of nowhere. Forced or not, there was that period of time where she was saying foul things about her family and for many of folks, that was their introduction to her. Having said that, I am beyond elated that she is free from that situation and getting to speak her truth and, like she said, let the world who she really is. As bad as things were for her, I'm glad that things were not much worse.

I get exactly what you mean, michael has opened a lot of doors for black artists to do what they do today and he has put tremendous charitable work in a lot of causes but let me rephrase my question, what has the Jackson's done (michael included) for OUR community here in the states? That's what matters to me, going out of country to Africa etc. To help is wonderful and I support it 100% but why go out of country or state in some cases when your home is not taken care of? The little kids in Indiana where they are from? This is the same gripe I have against oprah, they do all of this for the middle class and the poor out of country and there are kids living in similar conditions right down the street, why walk over them so you can go to Africa with cameras so you can get a humanitarian award? It's beyond me

juniortim33 your opinion of Oprah and the Jacksons is completely wrong, you can look on utube, and see Oprahs very last show that she had for the talk show, and there were hundreds of men that Oprah sent to Moorehouse, hundreds if not thousands, she paid for their college tuition and they all came to the arena to thank her, Michael and Janet have both had scholarships at HBIC, not to mention the numerous charities they have given to that have helped blacks in the USA, before you judge a celebrity, why not ask yourself what you have done for blacks in the USA, and I guarantee you, Oprah and the Jacksons have done more, I am so tired of people criticizing black entertainers for what they do and dont do, how about blacks help themselves.....

because those places are WORST off than our country. A lot of the people are helpless and don't have the opportunity Americans in those same U.S communities you speak of have. There's no Section8, Government Checks, and Welfare in many of those countries. People are scrapping for food on the roadside. While many in the U.S. communities have programs that help them go to school, feed their families and find work to provide for themselves IF they are willing. While you're asking, why not ask yourself what are YOU doing for the community?

Exactly. Oprah still needs to be held accountable for her involvement with Leaving Neverland. I was recently on the website daily michael looking at Joy Robsons deposition. She stated between 1991-2005 she and her family were at Neverland 4 times with Michael and all the other times Michael wasn't there. In leaving neverland Wade's allegations completely contradict his own mothers sworn testimony. In leaving neverland wade suggests he was at Neverland all the time.
