This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZfaq channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,300 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@Densapartment Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my KZfaq channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a KZfaqr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this KZfaq thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! @@Densapartment Thank you! Implementing the lessons I learned throughout the years of lots of trials and errors changed my life trajectory and learning that there’s a yin and yang in everything. I wouldn’t have appreciated the power of kindness if someone was not cruel to me. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of growth if I didn’t see myself stagnating. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of health if I didn’t get sick. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of real love if I haven’t witnessed my parents’ relationship slowly fall apart. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of mindful money consumption if I wasn’t broke. I wouldn’t have appreciated the growth of my KZfaq channel if I didn’t start at 0.

Finally, someone took notice of Kariza's sudden massive growth. I myself have bing watched her videos and paid attention to her storytelling and I 100% agree that it's phenomenal. I am learning a lot from it. And I totally agree when you said to "be yourself".. As a small content creator myself, I tried to imitate, emulate, or shaped a persona that wasn't me because I thought it's the way to make people engaged.. From now on, I will be myself. Thanks for this Sean. You're the man.

Her initial success didn't come from her making a vlog (as she claims) or because of her cinematography, it came from her TITLE. "Be the main character of your life" happened to be super super trendy at the time she posted the video. And that's by riding, uncounsciously, a trend that her channel gained the first traction. The reason she went years without subscribers is exactly because of this, the quality was there but she wasn't making videos that people were actively searching for. So delivering high quality isn't always enough at first, and she's a great example of that, you have to combine it with a keyword strategy. And once you make high quality videos on topics that people are searching for, it creates a huge momentum for your channel.

Her videos are class. The storytelling is phenomenal, and I've only seen two of her videos. The way she's subtly integrated her sponsorships as part of the narrative of her videos is a skill in itself. You can tell she's a filmmaker above being your standard content creator. Her shot compositions, the narrative progression. Her videos are like movies and I'm all for that level of creativity.

I absolutely adore and admire you for fangirling over Riza's videos. I don't believe I've seen anything like that before - peer to peer. The whole thing: Rizas going against usual KZfaqr "rules" and you admiring her for it AND supporting each other instead of just highlighting yourself (none of that "don't forget to like and subscribe right here!" *insert GIF arrow*) - I hope this sets new standards for noble behavior ❤

You’re both so cinematic. I really feel taken back to the 90s. There is this crisp nostalgia even through the grainy additions and filmier edits. It’s like a hang with an old friend. Before phones. A bit vintage. But somehow like it was just yesterday. Youre both so charming. Love the way you broke this down. Now I know why she feels so cozy to watch.

It goes just a few weeks or months-Idk, but I was working on my service business-and I check back in, 130k subs, a it two later like 300k+, crazy but I can't say she doesn't deserve it. First person I've seen really implement cinematography into the "mainstream life advice" genre. Not only that, but she does a good job at crafting her overall videos.

I absolutely love her channel too! I've watched some of her videos multiple times just to figure out how she does it. The one thing I think you left out is that every scene she includes has purpose. Whether that's setting the scene/mood or helping tell a story. What creators sometimes get hooked on is the cinematic feel. They just like the look of a shot so they include rather than asking is it necessary to include. This is what she specializes in!

Thank you for sharing all this perspective on Kariza (I didn't even know that was her real name!) I never knew she blew up so fast. I always assumed that because her content was so captivating she had always been great. Just like you, I really look up to her dedication even though she didn't have the audience she has today.

Hey Sean, great breakdown! I saw 1 or 2 videos of hers a few months ago so this was cool to watch as someone who is trying to improve their videography skills. I particularly like the part @ 7:25 where you showed with AI how much of a difference scenery and small details can make! Also very funny how the head turn she does wouldn't apply to us haha, if i did that in a review of mine I don't think people would take me seriously. Only thing that I would mention here would be to link her channel in the description for people that aren't familiar with her work. Thanks for the vid, first time here and instant sub!

Man!!! Sean!!! This was extraordinary work! Thank you for making this video! I think I speak for everyone by saying that I learnt loooots! Apart from the filmmaking rules you seem to have dissected perfectly, you made the most important point. And that not only by saying it but also by showcasing it in a VERY funny and entertaining way! I already had to laugh in excitement to what was to come. It's so important that we all know that even if we copy things, it won't be the same. You can learn from others and copy some things that generally work and that's fine. I think we all do it at the beginning. But the most important thing is authenticity and personality. That it was makes the difference. Something that makes or breaks (in case there is no authenticity to be found) the creator. Kudos to you my friend. I can very much relate to the numbers point. If we do work (that we think) is high quality or we are proud of, it kind of creates an expectation for other to react to it or achieve a certain amount of people. But that's then not in our hands anymore. We can do our best, and then we might get surprised or not. I very much enjoyed watching your video. And I'm going to try to implement some things in my videos. Thanks again my friend!

very well made video bro and like you said I think the biggest factor of her success is simply the kind of person she is on camera. You can have all the technical skills in the world but if you're not able to connect with the audience than it might take even longer to reach the same success. Also the fact that she already put so much effort in her previous videos.

Hi, Sean. Thank you for your video. You did a great story, I was enjoyed watching it. I am also a youtuber and I still search my style. And I found the happiness of creating when I make a short my style film. I feel very happy and proud, even there are no so much views as I was expecting. I learn a good lesson: it is important to enjoy the process no matter what. I hope we will see some of your blogging stories soon. Good luck in your journey.
