I'm seventy years old and have been riding since 1964 and I'd love to have a Vulcan S. You can have a lot more fun on a smaller light weught bike than you can ever have on a large heavy weight bike. As long as the smaller bike has the right powerplant, and the Kwasaki Vulcan S has it.

There’s a 3rd section of riders out there because there are those that are now 70 ish and they’ve ridden all the muscle bikes and super speed machines out there, but now just want to keep on biking on something that’s not going to give them a hernia when they have to manoeuvre it backwards up a slope or find the fastest thing to break the sound barrier because most of us older bikers have done that in the past 50 years, most now just want something that they can ride out with there mate but have a good enough turn of speed for the odd week end away travelling on duel carriage ways and motorways

Thanks for your videos and integrity... with the busy-ness and notoriety that is happening, remember stay dependent on the One who watches over you guys. Love my Vulcan S! I am turning 50 this year, 6' 4" 190lbs and I just switched from my Vulcan Classic 1500. Most of my riding is daily commute and fun runs under an hour or two, so this bike hit all the right notes in my book, and riding with Harleys and Honda I fit right in anywhere.. Looked at the Rebel 500 and like it, but too small for me. Pros: Great value! Styling... lots of folks comment about the looks.The adjustable fit. The sweet spot of power after the 5000 rpm mark is addictive for making a quick scoot around cars on the highway. Low center of gravity, pretty lightweight and easy to throw a leg over. (important as I age.) Fun...fun... fun. Cons/nitpicky: Gearing is a little high-strung when used to a bigger crusier... 1-6 gears, I tend to switch gears too early by listening to engine, but I forget it likes revving higher... 4th gear at 55mph is only 500rpms different than 5th gear... so you don't get that relaxed rumble of a cruiser... but give it some gas with either gear and you will be smiling too much to care. Forward pegs take some getting used to for some. Bottom line: definitely a bike you should look into if you are shopping around.

iR8SHT I’m saying gas them up as he needs to . He knows he is making a video out a damn gallon of gas in it . Running them dry actually messes them up . Fuel pump . If it’s an old bike and had carbs it messes them and the ports up . A 2 dollar gallon of gas could save hundred of dollars as well as stop making u look like a fool when he makes these videos .

Went and looked at one today. Went to look at the Ninja 650 and this caught my eye. It was a Matte Olive Drab and Black colorway. It was super comfortable to sit on and, I felt stretched out and relaxed. I'm 6' 1" 220 and this bike felt right to me. Now I don't know which I want because I also really love the Ninja. I had to leave to think it over.

Take what you like. This and the ninja are completly different. Vulcan is a relaxed ride. Imagine yourself riding your sofa. You need to be careful when turning like all cruisers. Ninja is an aggressive ride. The complete opposite.

A 125-400cc more like an entry level. A 650cc is more intermediate especially with the added weight. Just like clothes and shoe sizes are increasing so are horsepower on smaller bikes vs years past. For best 0-60 you must speed shift.

I bought a 2021 vulcan s cafe because of your videos. Unfortunately as a first bike it was definitely fast enough and handles awesome but it left me yearning for that v twin rumble and sound. My wife fell in love with it so i let her have it and bought myself a Yamaha Raider but wrecked it one week later 😢 . Insurance totaled the raider and i bought a Suzuki boulevard C109RT and its an absolute MONSTER. Please do a test drive and review of The C109RT. You have done lots with the M109R but none with its Big brother C109R.

I'm a re-entry rider after a 20 year dry spell , so I'm a little nervous, but I've owned about 10 bikes in the past. I was in my twenties then and now I have arthritis in my left knee so I am worried I won't be able to hold myself up on a bigger bike like a Vulcan 900 Classic, at the same time I don't want to outgrow this bike if I'm going to spend thousands.

Most practical and indicative power test is back shift till yah can red line at 30/40 and run it out to 75 /80..or whatever your tolerance for potential speeding tickets is .. the power that counts is the sudden hard jump. Not the standing clutch dump. Let’s be honest most giggle time happens with buds, suddenly doing a quick dash or jumping around a looky Lou string of cages. From 45/50.

I recently discovered the Vulcan S and now i really want one. I drove some bike over the years while not having a permit so i ride like i stole it but now, older age. i tend to be more careful and civilized so i got a permit class A (Europe, Romania class permit for bikes) and try to buy one. I dont't care about 0-60 or top speed statistics not on car nor on bikes. I feel them irelevant and missguiding. The parts between 40 and 100 kph are what matters. When you enter some highway and you need stability and predictive power there is where the engine must show its true value. To wrap it up, thank you for your ride and thoughts and hope for a full walk around review. :) Cheers and safe oards out there!

Just picked up a 2015 in bright green today!. Rode for about an hour coming home. Getting used to the forward placement of the foot pegs, but it performed very well. The size is perfect. It certainly has the acceleration I was missing in my 250. My only gripe at all is seat. It's the mid-reach, but it kept sliding me forward, creating chafing and pressure on the area just under my jewels. Looks like I might need to check in to the extended-reach seat. I have a huge doubt for my first bike: Kawasaki Vulcan S 2019 with 7tkm with Falcon exaust for 6500€ or Suzuki Boulevard m50 (intruder m800) 2008 with 20tkm with Vance&Hines for 4500€ Soo, the newer one with good brakes (ABS), really young one, low milleage, more power and speed or older one with little bit worst brakes, more mileage, from my point of view better sport classic musscle look, niiice V-twin sound, less power and less money... Sean, I would be very honored to hear your opinion. Everyone, Thanks on any advice.

Its just what you prefer more, you need to go sit/test ride them both, but in the end its just what you prefer more from a bike. For me, vulcan s is really cool concept but i prefer big v-twins for mutch nicer sound than vulcan s (in my opinion) and low end torque for cruising, i am not one of those who just wants to ring out the sh*t out of bike. With that Ninja Engine it seems like the bike makes you want to saw through the gears with that high revving engine. I was going to buy one of the older KZ1000 Police bikes but it wasn't the low torque V-Twin engine style I was looking for. The only mistake Kawi made with this bike is that is sounds pathetic. Otherwise, it is a great bike. IMHO. BTW, I don't see how this bike could possibly go sub 3s. Not gonna happen. Fun to try though.

The worst thing about this bike is that it seems to be aimed at new riders. They need to make a larger version for us oldies

No wobbles, it's rock solid. But the rear suspension acts a bit funny and seems to bounce off minor bumps in the roads even at the stiffest settings. It's solid around bends and corners.

I wish Kwai would add another 650 to their line up and do a z650rs or classically styled scrambler. I love the seating position and relatively good suspension on my versys but prefer the classic looks of the vulcan s.

Looking at bikes...thoughts on Kawasak 650 s, Honda rebel 500 or Yamaha bolt?
@tdsportz422
@tdsportz422 4 жыл бұрын
Vulcan for sure. I rode the Rebel during my motorcycle certification class and it was really comfortable but felt like it was lacking power with the 500cc engine. I do have the Vulcan myself and it is a bike I don't see myself outgrowing for sometime after riding 3 years.

Between vulcan and rebel ? Vulcan hands on by far. That extra 150cc gives a huge difference especially on highways.

The Vulcan s is 500 lbs so it’s not light for a 650 cc bike. The ninja 650 is 80 lbs lighter and I am not sure where the weight went to. Still the Vulcan s has a very unique look for a cruiser.
