You need to remember that Capcom said no when Romero wanted to make a movie like the game. They agreed to what was made and helped make it. If you wanted something that went scene by scene from the games go read the books.

@@danhughesartist Nah if they went the route of The Last of Us show where it's just a shot for shot remake at points I think most people would be pretty happy. The reason people tend to complain about the Resident Evil movies is they're bad and even non RE fans don't like em hence the low ratings. Like I dunno what further evidence you people need when we have shows like The Last of Us and the Fallout show making a shit ton of money and being a hit with gamers and non gamers but you just wanna blame fans for "being too picky" and "complaining too much" but no you're just making the same mistake as Capcom and thinking you need to change the source material for it to hit a wider audience but clearly you don't!

@@hana-silveriaWell, they halted the production of original George Romero's screenplay for the first movie, because they deemed it was too similar to the games and people would watch the movie instead of playing the game. So, I guess they do have a veto power when it comes to allowing the production to commence. Since they did not stop any of the movies we've seen so far, it makes us believe like they don't care if we will end up getting a good movie.

@@cw3lefrom what I read and having some answers, it is actually fatal if Romero's version was made. Capcom rejected his script not because it is too similar with the game's lore but instead it ignored many canons as: Chris Redfield is not a S.T.A.R.S. member but instead a farmer who used as the Jill Valentine's lover in her undercover mission. Also, Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, etc. died in his version. And many more. On that time, the non-gamer Romero seems not really realised about continuation of the lore. Perhaps the words about "Romero's script is faithful to the game's lore which closer to the canon" is a sarcastic joke or something? Idk. Well, no need to compare it to the previous films since, to me, it basically the same blunder.

They could've done the same with other movies too, but they didn't, which makes me believe they don't really care or they have troubles realizing what fans actually want.

Of all the characters in Resident Evil's lore, The Keeper has always been the one most fascinating to me. He's the only person I can recall that gives us a real-time breakdown of what it's like to slowly turn into a zombie and retains a little of his humanity if only to be able to write words. Also I have ALWAYS wondered how he managed to lock himself in his closet.

Holy Shit!!! This one minute video on just a segment theme to the game is something I totally love and is better then all the movies put together. I've always wanted to see more and see what really happened to the folks behind the scenes and how they died or what happened in the labs and basically everything in the game. This is one story I'm totally into. I'm glad you didn't taint the Resident Evil name but instead put the original "Biohazard" name instead..lol This video was a special treat. Thank You.
