Ironic that a public figure as eloquent as Ted Kennedy could be and demonstrated at the end of his 1980 presidential campaign could also be so fumbling and incoherent earlier when asked why he was running.He should just have said- I'm a Kennedy,one of the brothers Gracchi ,look to our record and there you will find your answer.

@@dnhy7951 In my opinion I don't think Ted really wanted to run for president. He felt that it was a cross to bear. Pick up the torch his brothers were given
