My daughter who loved The Killers passed away a year and a half ago at 26. I don’t want all this attention because she didn’t get much fanfare for her pandemic graduation. The Killers are so underrated. The music sounds way better than most popular music these days, the lyrics have way deeper meaning than most popular music these days and they generally have way better music than the stuff these days. I thank my parents for listening to them and giving me so much nostalgia with this band and overall introducing me to some of the best music.

2009 was such a good year for iconic music.

It was 2017, I was a 22 year old university student. My girlfriend decided to breakup with me cause she couldn't stand the long distance relationship anymore and she thought I had no motivation to graduate, leave the city and move to the city where she's at. This song resonates with me a lot because she didn't know what's in my mind, that I wanted to move out of my 'two-star town' as soon as possible, I really wish she could read my mind. I really want to feel the love, the fire and wish she could open the door for me, again. It has been 3 years, and thankfully I am happy with where I am now. I moved on and fell in love with a woman who wants to know what is actually inside my mind. I do wish my ex-girlfriend happiness, because without her I won't be where I am now. I don't shine, if she doesn't shine. That's my story, thank you the killers, especially Brandon, for this amazing song.
