I saw this piece back in 2014 when it was apart of the Lost in the Memory Palace exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery. I was 14 at the time and now I'm 23. It still gives me chills and the whole exhibition was nothing like any other art I had ever seen before. Truly incredible work well done 😎👍🎨🎭🎶

I'm not suggesting anything, but could you technically sit in that chair? Or is it blocked by a barrier?

I don't think those things could use enough force to hurt you even if you did sit in the chair. Probably would feel like someone flicking you very hard xD

The barrier is more mental than anything; and there is always a guard in the room. There is a bit of wire that blocks direct access but you can get over that easily. Please do not sit in the chair. We will not be responsible for damages.

does anyone know what the guy in the music says though?

The voice is from an instructional LP from the 50s on how to learn to typewrite. He says "...your left thumb should be underneath your palm.... make certain your posture is good and hands properly positioned. B, E, D, F, R, F, B, E, D, F, R, F... " etc.

@@buresmiller It can't be someone trying to explain to me that the voices and the background sound were from the 2nd world war. 🤦
