Ronny as a kid in the early 80s I lived in Derby and EVERYONE fished with hand lines, 200lb line, massive hooks and we would always catch about five catfish to every barra and if you didn't pull the barra in quick enough you end up with a croc on your line

Reminds me of my trip to the west coast of Costa Rica last year. They have some pretty huge 16' - 17' American Crocs in the rivers and warning signs on the beaches close to the creeks and mangroves. Look up the crocodile bridge over the Tarcoles River.

You were already on floodplain when you dropped into that rut and almost ran into the tree. See all the dead grass in the branches and hung up on the fence around 3:11? That's the wet season high water mark. There's rivers near my place where the flotsam can be seen in branches 5 meters (15 feet) over your head. You wouldn't want to camp around there in the wet.

Do ya’ll carry generators? They make quiet one’s that you can run over night with a portable air conditioner. Have the AC in your tent and exhaust outside. Close the tent and that cold air will fill the tent in no time. Works great. You could also run multiple powerful fans. That’s one way to beat the heat. You’ll just have to carry more gas can to fill up the generator

You should come down to South Australia, it's great for 4x4ing, great camping spots and great fishing

Great show Ronny and well filmed as always. I have to say though that the poor quality of the land in general and the severe erosion are sad. The rivers edge seems completely denuded at least 50 meters out. Imagine what it would have been like before cattle and invasive species - would have been awesome and hopefully can be again. The erosion and destruction of native bush has been evident since this series started - I find it strange that no-one seems to comment or notice it in your series - maybe you guys just expect land to be so poor. Anyhow love the show - thanks.
