Please, don't see this as an attack, but as a respectful question. Isn't your eagerness to discuss Calvinism overshadowing the command of God's Word when He invites us through Paul to imitate Christ? Maybe those discussions make up for very good intelectual exercise, but shouldn't we be looking for spiritual advice on how to live with Him rather than trying to find inconsistencies in eachother's take on lesser matters?

@@henriqueamaral2605 I agree whole heartedly that the believer should be encouraged to imitate both Paul and the Lord Jesus but this does not excuse or give cause to ignore the inconsistencies of Calvinism. We are told to worship God in spirit and truth and if we allow and accept inconsistent teaching then we are not worshipping in truth. Calvinism’s inconsistencies become clearly apparent when Reformed pastors like Piper teach sound doctrine in one instance and then teach contradictory Calvinistic doctrine in another and it is this point that I was drawing attention to in my previous comment. God’s Word is alive and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword. It is without error and there are no inconsistencies so when a particular teaching is found to be inconsistent with other passages of Scripture then we know the Word is not being rightly divided. This is why I draw attention to Piper’s inconsistent and erroneous teaching that all of our daily life is sovereignly directed by God, down to the tying of your shoelaces and the brushing of your teeth.

@@gregjay9933 I see where you're coming from, but again this issue sounds to me as a smaller problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Romans 14 dealing exactly with this (though not directly)? Paul says that we shouldn't fight over lesser matters, stating that if one's conscience is fully certain that he can't, for example, eat meat, then we shouldn't harrass them for not doing it, because they glorify God like that as much as those who eat meat for His glory. There are great logical inconsistencies in both Calvinism and Arminianism, but that's what they are: logical. As christians, we know that our faith isn't at all logical to men, and not always our experiences with God are logical, because He is able to do the impossible.

@@henriqueamaral2605 Inconsistent Bible teaching should not be compared to the situation of eating meat that has been offered to idols. There is no situation where inconsistent or contradictory Bible teaching should be considered acceptable. It is no surprise that inconsistent teaching by Calvinists is viewed as ‘a smaller problem’ because all 5 points of TULIP can easily be refuted by many passages of Scripture. I am neither a Calvinist nor Arminian because they both teach some error. If a person identified as Arminian posted inconsistent teaching then I would highlight that error also. Paul: He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.

@@gregjay9933 Well, ultimately, God knows what we will choose, but we are still free to choose what we want to. For example, supoose there are two chocices, A and B. If you choose A, God foreknew you would choose A. If you choose B, God foreknew you would choose B. In a sense, our choices determine what God knows before hand. Hence we still have free will though God knows the outcome, just like watching a basketball game a day later means you know the outcome of the game but that dosen't stop the players from freely playing.
