(continued) In general, I find stick bombs to be pretty temperamental--humidity can mess with them (as seen on my AGT quarter-final disaster), and the cobra weave likes to lock up a lot. The elasticity and surface friction of wood can vary a lot, and that really alters the performance. That's why I'm leaning more towards other 'mechanical explosives' like my clever-lever gadget which uses rubber bands for power. I've also been toying with an 'implosion bomb', but nothing definite yet. (cont)

Your amazing kenetic king! You really deserved to go through to the finals. I used all 10 of my votes on you. Anyone can juggle and do imitations but not everyone can spend 40hours putting together an exploding piece of art.

lol so many Japanese here... Kinetic King, you are awesome. What you are doing is to tell the world what those simple sticks can do. Many people nowadays mostly use their computers/cell phones/tablets to entertain themselves(that includes me by the way), but I think this much better. You know, in Africa and many other places in the world, there are many kids who can't even buy soccer balls. They appreciate these ways for entertaining very much. Maybe you should go teach them how to do this so that they won't get bored anymore :)

@bladeb0y85 Thanks for the compliment, bladeb0y! Stick bombs have been around for decades, but I figured out how to make them big mostly by trial and error. The sound effects are a combination of my own sounds, Acid Music Studio 7, and a few other random clips...

The one good thing about the music is that I don't owe royalties on it ;)

Dank U for your compliments, hjalmar! I invented the cobra weave back in January/February 2011. I've seen video of Domino Day and think that's very, very impressive. I worked on a television commercial in Ghent, Belgium back in 2007 for Mobistar where I had a domino chain working its way through a building, but never really learned more than a few words of Nederlands...

@MrBeaver73 Thanks, MrBeaver! The diamond weave doesn't work very well with popsicle sticks due to the extreme tension, but it's not much different from the ortho weave. I recommend that you and the other 7 friends wear safety goggles during your attempt.

I've got plenty of stick-bomb videos where things work fine, so that helps make up for the AGT disaster...

What's frustrating is that most people don't realize that after the quarter-final disaster, I went back during the Wild Card round and made one of the biggest comebacks in AGT's history. Even Piers compared me to Rocky Balboa. And then I went on to the Semi-Final round with another gadget that worked perfectly...

It's a diamond weave--I didn't invent the cobra until January of 2011. I hadn't perfected double weaving when I did this and the regular ortho weave tended to lock up, especially on crossovers. The diamond was the only one I felt safe using at the time...
