What does it mean to be a man. The term is used so often yet the definition can prove elusive. The definition of manhood lies in our perception of our male role models, both those is the real world and in the artistic depictions. The King is a primal symbol in all humans. The image of the king we hold in minds is our natural sovereign. The king is the pinnacle of masculine authority. The King is both strong and sympathetic, knowledgeable and wise, brave and true. Channeling this energy can naturally drive humans to accomplish amazing feats.
Yet identifying as a man does not guarantee you will be an effective leader, an magnanimous ruler, or a beloved father.

I really liked the part where you spoke about conquering the warrior, I came into the corporate tech world after a somewhat storied career in the military. And I really struggled at first, my performance was great, but promotions seemed to pass me by, it wasn't until my boss at the time, and a dear friend all these decades later sat down and explained that my team is "Afraid of me" that I was able to sort of, re examine why, who I was and make some of the necessary changes to my demeanor, eventually leading to an accomplished career, and what I consider the most valuable part of it, the fact that many of my peers and people that reported to me still check in with me and ask me for advice.

I have had a very similar experience, mine started in the military. I’m from New York and I didn’t realize that my accent made everything I said sound aggressive. And I was already in a hyper masculine environment which caused a lot of conflict that was unnecessary. I learned to project myself more as a jokester, which disarmed people. Which is an aspect I talk about in my Magician video, that you shouldn’t show your true self to strangers. It’s always better to appear weak or foolish at first, and surprise them with your strengths than the opposite.
