Words can't explain how much I love Joyeong for always staying by Lee Gon's side.

God, I started this drama just for Woo Do Hwan and Lee Min Ho so seeing them have such a great relationship is so satisfying. Yeong and Gon’s relationship was honestly the best part of the drama. Yeong’s unwavering loyalty was so heartwarming and your edit captured it perfectly. We honestly need more bromance stories just like this, they’re so underrated.

I'm trying so hard not to cry while watching this but the music makes it even harder...they really had a special bond, connection like two brothers, i'll miss them...

Young immediately going for baby Lee Gon and holding him as he bleeds is the most dramatic and the most powerful thing i've ever seen on a show. Young was the only one who knew how hard it was for Lee Gon to go through that trauma since he saw him crying with all that pain. All those years, like he mentioned, Lee Gon had to live with the pain of seeing his father getting killed by his uncle before his eyes. I dont even mention about his injuries.. It wasnt something that anyone could easily forget so didnt Lee Gon. While watching him you can easily see him holding himself from breaking every each time he remembers about that night. And Young was the only human being to see it, to see how big the trauma was for him and how he couldnt forget even a second of it. That is why their bond was special for me. And Young using his last chance to protect his king and holding&hugging him in the darkest hours, finally being able to be there and save him... You can see how compassionate he was, I bet the fact that he couldnt do anything while Lee Gon was suffering was even a bigger trauma for him.. So finally although he was shot and in pain, he was also relieved and in peace...

i really love the fact that yeong will always be by gon’s side no matter what the challenges are. he will always wait patiently and never hate lee gon . although he he jealous of eunsup’s life, he still like to be by gon’s side🥺

They have became my favorite male duo next to the goblin and grime reaper. ❤️

the fact that you use “saturn” as background music, it just multiplied a thousand times of agony for their story. GonYoung is forever in my heart. thank you for making this wonderful yet heartbreaking video.

Woo Do Hwan was so under rated in this series. I was amazed that he did two different characters well, but after it being pointed out in another video, he actually did 4 characters. Yeong, Eun Sub, Yeong being Eun Sub and Eun Sub being Yeong, BTW Love the interaction with those two.... best comedy duo! I loved how he loved his King and I know he had to be crushed when he got poisoned. Being in Korea, he accidently dropped his guard. Just his facial expression alone you could feel his pain.

The moment where Jo Yeong is holding onto little Lee Gon is so special and beautiful, I'm so heart broken that this drama is over. Such a beautiful bond between the two, such amazing acting from Minho and Dowhan 💜

8:00 I cried so hard when I first watched this scene. How Yeong cares for young Lee Gon & the way young Lee Gon holds on to Yeong’s arm as a sign of ‘Thank you for saving my life’ 😭💔 for me, this hits harder than all of Lee Gon & Tae Eul’s scenes in the whole show.

I love how it seems that Lee Gon isn't only Yeong's king but also kinda like a brother or bestfriend. Especially since they've known each other for a long time.

Its kind of weird but after watching this edit I watched the hole show in a week The romance didn't make me impressed but their bromance...i loved them, the loyalty of jo young was so trueee Woo do hwan was the only actor in this show that makes me cry and laugh.OMG he's so talented I guess I've to see more from his works.

One thing I’ve realized about Lee Gon’s character is that, even though we see his playful side with the ppl he’s close with, he is pretty much an introvert and a serious person. I think he was able to get thru life bcos Yeong, Lady Noh, the prince, and Tae-Eul’s ID. Towards the end, his other self in one of the worlds was a tyrant, bcos he didn’t have these ppl around; he said so himself). I mean watch closely, how he interact with the prime minister. You can see that his character is not someone who smiles lightly to ppl he’s not close to. LMH delivered it soo brilliantly. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I think there is one thing that critics failed to see in this work, that all of Kim Eun Sook's writing includes and that's the power of bromances. Those grand entrances(slow motion walks), the humor, the banter, the charisma of both leads and overall how they react to one another's acting. Lol.

The bond between The King and His Unbreakable Sword, Lee Gon and Jo Yeong, is one of my top reasons why I love TKEM so much. It's so touching when we think about how their friendship was developed. It started with : 1. how little Jo Yeong was like "who is that hyung, why is he walking in that glorious robe" while being carried by his father then, 2. the little kid with bobbed hair was watching how lee gon was crying so he was, "hyung-ah, don't cryyyy" and hes crying even harder than little Lee Gon 3. lee gon made him his unbreakable sword when yeong was still 4 years old. 4. both then were growing up into a charismatic, respectable king Lee Gon and a faithful, strong, smart, 'unbreakable sword' Jo Yeong but still maintain this bond as brothers. 5. Jo Yeong is always with Lee Gon, following him no matter what happened in order to protect the king with his all, even his life. In other side, Lee Gon also cares so much for Jo Yeong but he understands that for Jo Yeong, Gon himself is the priority for Yeong. 6. In other words, I LOVE THEIR BROMANCE T_____T In short, you capture everything about YeongGon so perfectly and beautifully. The relationship they had is not just King and Royal Guard. They have this true friendship. Espescially Yeon. The moment he said that he wants the King to be happy always. If he wasn't a Royal Guard, I know he will have the same character as Eun Sup, his counterpart. :-)

These clips may just be from a fictional drama but it has made me emotional and all the more that I miss them at TKEM. I hope this relationship continues even after the drama ended.

At first i was so upset knowing Gon left Young in ROK while he's in KOC... during that time, Gon really gone through so much hardship. 1. Especially when he cried alone in the kitchen after he lost his one and only uncle. When his father died, little Gon also had a breakdown, but that time he had Lady Noh and Yeong. And that was the first time Gon's smile risen, and that was because of Yeong. So i was kind of upset when Yeong wasn't there when Gon lost prince Buyeong. 2. Gon fight to saved TaeEul without Yeong. 3. When Gon found out the bookstore where the traitor hide. All of that would be perfect if there was Yeong beside Gon. But in the last episode i finally could see Yeong in the battlefield beside his King. And finally he fulfilled his promise to protect his King, even if that would cost his life. I love them so much... Their bond was more than a king and his guardian...

I was not happy with the ending of this kdrama. And there were so many questions unanswered. But I must say it was so lovely to watch the show. It was a whole beautiful journey. I'll never forget this show.

My tears would do a better job at showing you how beautiful this video was to me. I can’t describe the rush of feelings that came to me while watching it. Yeong is a guardian angel sent for the king to bear the burdens of the world along with him. He’s not just a royal guard.. he’s his shield in danger, his umbrella in cloudy days, his grounding rock in his darkest moments, and a shoulder he could lean on when he loses balance, mind or body. He really lived on to his nickname through and through. The song gave me the feeling of heartbreak, hardships, and hope along with defeat, utterly perfect for their story. My heart will never heal for I will miss them so much💔

This has got to be one of the best friendship/brother relationship and loyalty between to men I have ever seen in a long time, maybe ever. You would never ever see anything like this in Hollywood, especially today. There is no way a show like this, with this admirable type of relationship between two men, would be portrayed. These two would have to be secret gay lovers, the female lead would treat the king like trash and she would have to be a "strong" woman acting like a man too. This is why I've stopped watching Hollywood movies or shows. Hollywood has completely lost the art of storytelling, which is why they remake everything today.
