A few things, first, I hate when they advertise a car in an update trailer and fail to mention that it isn’t available until later. They've done it more than once and there is no reason for it, just put it in the next update trailer, let those who bought the watch have the car early but don't lie and say its part of this update when it really isn't for 99% of players, this really borders on false advertising. Second, weren’t we meant to get early access to the Genesis VGT? I mean, at least we'll get it for free, I assume, but I'm pretty sure PD said we'd have early access to it. Third, I personally couldn't care less about the Jimny. I know people are trying to make it the next meme car but it just isn't for me. It isn't oddball or wacky enough like the Alphard or especially the Ambulance to fall into that tier of absurdly hilarious additions, but it is definitely not interesting enough to make me want to use it, I'm sure it will be fine, but I just don't care about the car. I don't like to be one of those people who complains saying I don't like this car, so include something else, but when you essentially vanish for nearly 3 months with no content in your live service game then come back with 2 VGT cars you know for a fact the majority of players don't care about, and then deliberately decide to not include one of them for the vast majority of players, while including no circuit or anything else of interest, then the least you could do is include a highly requested car, like the Toyota GT-One or the Nissan R390, or any newer GT3 car. PD have partnerships with both Toyota and Nissan, or at the very least they did, and still have great relationships with them, there is no way that PD can't get the GT-One or R390 in the game. You can certainly have cars like the Jimny, but in an update as poor as this? It's like you're asking for backlash at that point. I'm one of the few people who actually like VGT's and am looking forward to both the Genesis and Bvlgari cars, and even I realise how bad a move this is on PD's part. Seriously, what were they thinking?

I gotta say, this is the worst post-lanuch update we've gotten to date. This update clearly shows how god-awful PD's communication to their own community really is. I really don't give a shit if this stuff is "free", you can still give up much better updates than this. At the end of all of this, I only care about the Jimny and nothing else.

The bvlgari early access thing is right up there with no Laguna Seca on the Nov 2019 update in Sport for signs that they are going to burn down if they don't communicate with us.

What happened to the early GT Sport content update pattern? I miss the 5 ( or was it 3?) cars + 1 track/layout per month

Ok this is the most bull shit update we’ve had so far for GT7, no tracks, 1 real car and 2 vgts (which I don’t mind I guess) and 1 of those vgts we have to wait to get, like why even show it in the trailer if we can’t even get it when the update drops!!

Cant wait for all three since My uncle's getting a Jimny and I have an admiration for VGT cars even if they're useless, unreal or both.

Sometimes I think PD hates their player base and do things like these just to get at us but I still don´t know what we did wrong. Maybe it's because we bought the game and played it?

PD's decision making is beyond terrible. Not only is this update pretty small, with just 3 cars, they have the audacity to make to of them VGTs that are in the very least controversial, one of them will only be available next month, and the third car is a Jimny that literally nobody asked for. It's actually impressive how the player base can come up with a car wishlist of over 1000 cars, and PD finds a way to pick one that isn't even on that wishlist. While the VGTs are inevitable, being specific to this game, I can't comprehend how they think the Jimny is the priority to model over the hundreds of cars the player base wants.

They’re (PD) probably waiting until March (2 yr anniversary) to give us a new track update IMO. Hopefully some NEW race cars as well 🙏

Well Gran Turismo Sport servers go Off line January 31st. One less game to support. Maybe have more or better things added when not distracted by World Tour ESports (ugh hate that word) . Frees up some more servers for 7 progress with sport no longer needed.

Tbh I dont really hate the Jimny being added. One thing racing games dont really do, but I dont blame them for it, is not adding more everyday cars that you see on the road. Like, as a brazilian, I would love to see cars like the VW Gol (maybe the final edition, a revolutionary car when it comes to flex fuel and ethanol fuel technology) or the HB20 (a car developed and made for the south american market). They are not particularly fast but I'm sure they would be fun to drive.

I would say the new update patch is garbage for most people did not want. No new tracks and no cars what they wished for. Thing is, the watch is so worth expensive and won't be able to use Bvlgari Vision GT early until end of February which is becoming available in dealership.

The state of the game in general, updates like this and Polyphony Digital's absolutely disgraceful lack of communication is exactly why for me GT7 is the worst game in the entire series. For a company that has been making games and supposedly communicating with fans for about 30 years it's amazing how bad they've become at it.

I honestly hope that there is a decent engine swap for the Jimny. If not, then this update will be an absolute waste. Don't get me wrong, I've been wanting to see the Suzuki Jimny come back from its days in Gran Turismo 2, but only having access to one out of three cars tomorrow is, pardon my language, absolute dog shit. I feel like Kaz is _way_ out of touch with reality here.

In my honest opinion GT has become to big , that I even doubt that PD knows what they want with the game. It wants to be everything and the cracks in what it should be a party for the drivers and car history and what it is .... basically a game with random cars without having any context with each other or key cars are certainly missing to makes sense like the holy grail: We got the 918, LaFerrari , but the P1 is certainly missing. With the updates they just got us some random cars. Why not give us a certain theme with each update? Besides there is such a huge ammount of roadcars that you would expecting some desent road to drive or race them ... but none. I know you can't compare it to the level of GT7 but when you play a game like Grid Legends : it is just far more organised. You have your classes although far from complete and it is a racing game with race classes. And one class is seperated from each other although you can multiclass them. Drive Club untill the dlc's had only roadcars and perfect roads although not much , but they got them on very nice locations , nice selection of cars seperated in their own catagory. Also Drive Club is a time frame of all the 'hot' cars in a certain era - although not complete - it all makes sense. Or Asserto Corsa Competion - a more specific GT3 focussed racing game that exactly is what it is .... GT7 is way to complicated and funny in a way .... and then there is the PP system and tuning system . You can make your car as light as possible , but still got the interior intact. By all mean it would be fun when you are at a certain level of saving weight, that the car internals turn into a GT4/GT3 mode. In a way the tuning makes sense. Or a in a Turbo race where you have a Yaris competing against a Mclaren 650s because it has a turbo. By the way that is the only race where you can put your Mclaren 650 in. Lamborghini are utterly useless unless you either downgrade them (why???) or tune them. Besides why should I tune a LaFerrari to make it competive in a race .... like the LaFerrari isn't enough of its own. Ow lets by a million dollar car and bring it to a tuner. Or buy a what is it '29 Bugatti and tune it so I can drive it. Personally I would split GT7 or the future GT8 into either 3 seperate games. Historical cars and races on old circuits. A modern road car game with roads or models of beautifull roads like a California, Scotland, Alpes , love Chili from Drive Club, you name it and make it a bit Top Gear like. With a Coupe, Sedan race catagory , Hatchback, Sports, Super and Hypercar well you know. And a seperate race game with Sport with clear catagories. I know it is fun to switch between a GT3 race and then step into a road car catagory - but now you can enter a GT4 race by PP with a roadcar. And why do you do that .... well to collect money... so you can buy another car that is more exclusive ... but when you get it. There is no real race for it.

Another disappointing update for GT7, I've stuck with it all this time, but recently, the game hasn't been fresh. This update is not promising for the longevity of this title.
