The King and Queen were joined by Prince William and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
The Royal Regiment of Scotland 2 SCOTS pipes & Drums and The SCOTS Band, with The Guards of Honour; The Royal Company of Archers/The King's Bodyguard for Scotland.
Order of the Thistle, The order's primary emblem is the thistle, the national flower of Scotland. The motto is Nemo me impune lacessit (Latin for "No one provokes me with impunity"). The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle is an order of chivalry associated with Scotland. The current version of the order was founded in 1687 by King James VII of Scotland.

I used to prepare the uniform for a now King's Archer. It weighed a ton. Hats off to all King's Archers and how refreshing to hear the yellow t-shirts being drowned out by wonderful musicians. 👍👍👍👋👋🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

For all those who are protesting 'not my King' they can move to the USA, where there is NO royalty and royal titles have NO legal status within the USA, including those who are no longer working members of the British Monarchy. If they don't want a king, the USA does not have any royalty.

you must have been a privileged person to film all of this as I was there , and the People could see nothing , they were driven quite fast in cars, big black net screen covering the view of the cathedral. Pity we did not see all the new Knights and Ladies , I would have liked to see sir Geoff Palmer, mostly why I went.

You clearly know nothing of the history of the British Royal Family. What do you mean by "they will go home"? Scotland and England ceased to be separate sovereign nations in 1707 under the Act of Union, which created the new country of Great Britain. In fact, Britain nowadays comprises Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Britain is not simply England, as so many Americans seem to think. It also seems you don't know that a hundred years before the Act of Union, upon the death of Queen Elizabeth I of England in 1603 (who had no direct heir) King James VI of Scotland also became King of England (as King James I of England). James was the son of Elizabeth's cousin, Mary Queen of Scots. And to confuse you even further, the late Queen Elizabeth II was herself half Scottish. Her mother, the wife of King George VI, was Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the daughter of Scottish aristocrats The Earl and Countess of Strathmore. It helps to know what you are talking about...

I wouldn't bank on it. Have you any idea how long it would take and COST to abolish the Monarchy in Scotland.? The King is our King because of James VI in Scotland, who inherited the 2 Thrones. Tens of thousands of people would lose their jobs and many small towns and villages would become ghost towns, not to mention tourism. People have no idea about the fact that King Charles is equally our King. God save the King. 🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧

You have no idea how much it would cost to abolish the Monarchy in Scotland. King James VI of Scotland inherited the thrones of: Scotland England + Wales and Ireland. We have 2 Crowns.
