I actually purchased one of these a few days ago and have a feeling I got mine from the same seller, as there were multiple people complaining in the reviews about not getting a low profile bracket with it. As mine is going in a SFF build, I'll just use it without a bracket if I don't get one until I can pick one up second hand. It should be a huge upgrade over my 1650.

@@jonpeley uhmmm you do realize that they asked for what we want to see it tested with not what makes the most sense obviously a R5 5500/5600 12100/12400 would be the best use case my brother has a I5 4590 with a GTX 950. Plus when I upgraded my GPU from from the 950 I got a RTX 2080 I have a I3 12100f people were telling me that it would bottleneck the GPU but guess what. It didn't.

Just put this in a fun side project SFX build. At first i thought it was faulty because i was only getting like 20 fps in Heaven but after swapping one of the minidisplayport adapters and the slot on the card I was using, it's working fine. Not sure which one was at fault but I guess it doesn't matter since I don't have plans to use more than the one port. This little card is a beast.

Alas. The problem reoccurred. It works for a short while. Anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour+ but inevitably it will throttle the power consumption below 30 and the FPS tanks to 20 or below. Tried different monitors, different cables, same result. Since I bought the card refurbished, I can only assume it's faulty. I returned it today.

I have an Optiplex 9020 sff which I set out to add a graphics card after watching your video on it, I found the A2000 and gave it a shot. It works amazing, barely makes any noise and plays through every game I've thrown at it with med-high settings at 60fps+.

Have you changed the psu? I've been using my Optiplex 9020 sff with a gtx 1650 low profile, with the stock psu. Lately my system has been acting up, I'm suspecting that the psu no longer delivers the required energy to the system.

@@caydemsiz Not likely that you're pulling more than about 150 watts from the power supply. It wouldn't be my first suspect if you're having issues.

It is a nice card but, here in the UK at least, it is quite expensive compared to other cards with similar capability - the cheapest used ones on eBay are over £260 and new ones retail at over £450 still, which makes it quite a lot more expensive than a new or used 1650. The A2000's price is more in line with RX6650XT and maybe RX6700. The Quadro T600 and T1000 would be much easier to find for an Optiplex-type build, at least here in the UK. Yes, they are both Gen 3 cards but the T1000 still undercuts the A2000 by £100 and offers 8GB VRAM and the T600 is pretty similar to the 1650, but is cheaper and only comes with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM.

One other thing, try using the card when you get the low profile bracket in a small formfactor case and a modern CPU that's lower power like an AMD non X variant Ryzen 7700 with an ITX motherboard. Pair it wish 16 gigs of memory and a nice honking NVME which you can get for cheap these days and just have the smallest little computer that runs circles around many bigger desktops.

I put one of these in an Acer aspire 1660g (i3-10105) that I picked up for 100 bucks. Also added some ram to the Acer. In total I have under 400 in a PC with i3-10105, RTX a2000 and 32gb of ddr4.

Yeah picked up the Acer around Christmas for $100 with free shipping. My a2000 also came with the low profile bracket and 4 mini display to display port adapters.

@@YoungMinistry351 I got it from eBay. It was listed for more but I made an offer and it was excepted. You can find the 1660g with 10th gen i3 for under 200 just about anytime. I see them for under 150 often. It runs great. Awesome for 1080p gaming. Can even do some 1440p (especially if your cool will dlss). And the Acer case has air holes where the CPU and GPU are so no issues with temps. They also come with a 300w power supply which is more than most of the cheap oem computers. I'm very happy with it.

I grabbed this card to install in my HP Deskpro low profile with a little i5 4570. I ran wonderfully. I ended up going to an HP Deskpro MT (micro tower) with a i5 9500, which is a larger case but still has a low power PSU. Still love it. I grabbed mine from Amazon and paid just under $200.

Try it out in an HP Elitedesk 800 G3. That machine can be had for cheap, has an NVME SSD slot, supports two hard drives and up to an i7 7700.

I found the bracket on Aliexpress and it $18.62 the adapter was about $10.00 . Not easy to find the store name was "Rainbow-2021 Store" . Might be cheaper locally. $18.80 from ebay

You might be able to put that in in SFF Optiplex without the low profile bracket... you just can't put the case panel on. However there might not be enough room next to the power supply, I don't know.

I would love to see how much of a difference the 12gb version of this card would make with gaming. I'm about to do a low profile build with the Ryzen 7900 or 7700/ MSI MAG B650M in a Silver Stone ML04B case with this video card. I should be good for years to come.

rx 6400 is gen 4 x4 which is kinda bad . As for the a2000 ,since its x16 lanes ,the impact will be probably insignificant or very low on pci-e gen 3 in gaming sometimes .There are videos explaining the difference between the generations so you could check them out .Kinda of a bummer that they skip on the pci lanes of the low tier cards ,since the impact becomes bigger .

Bought the card for a HPZ4-G4 workstation for stock programming and games. Some reason it was ultra picky with drivers. I was replacing a Quatro card that has no issues. I have to do a full install, and cables we also picky, with shuddering on dual screens. After two reboots, it worked it self out. So far been working well. Games on stream at Med-High are fast. Highest FPS i have ever got from a low watt card. But does whats matter when you have 1000PS? I was more concerned heat. It boosted up 30 degrees F. In play and 3800rpm. Its quite though. Over all I like the card. but will be adding more cooling and going to check the thermal paste. Since these are refurbs. Who knows if that was replaced or decent paste was used as well as thermal tape.

I use this card on a PCIE Gen 3 system, AMD5600G, 16GB 3800MHz OCed, and get very similar performance. seems like PCIE speed doens't affect too much gaming performance, maybe more rendering or 3D or video work

Technically not an optiplex, but the equivalent HP envy linup can be also had for cheap on ebay, the only thing is that exept for the top of the line one the ram is under specced

I doubt that this will be hurt much by a PCI-E Gen 3 bus because of the 16 lanes it makes use of. That's still quite a bit of bandwidth for a card of this power. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no clear performance hit.

Just a warning for people with newer SFF Optiplexes that are willing to try this card: this is a double slot card, not a single slot and there's no way to install this on newer Optiplexes without any kind of adapter. Even on older ones, you'll have to install the card on first slot, which is a 3.0 x4. I bought one of these for my Lenovo SFF with a 4th gen i7 (forgot the name of the model, sorry) and it works perfectly because it's a little bigger and has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot that supports double slot cards. For an Optiplex, my recommendation is a RX 6400 or W6400 (professional version of RX 6400). It's not even close to be as powerful as A2000, but it does the job.

I would say it would roughly be a side-grade gtx 1070, gtx 1660, and rtx 3050 are roughly the same performance. So if the A2000 gets about the same performance as a 3050, you probably aren't missing a whole lot, except dlss.

I just purchased my wife a Dell Optiplex 7040 from Amazon for $307 after tax. It has a i7 6700, 32 GB of RAM, a 512 GB M.2 NVme plus a 2TB HDD. The graphics is a Intel HD 580 and but the PSU is only 240 Watts. I love the graphics on the CPU but I am really trying to bring it up to better graphics with a LP graphics card but don't know which one to buy on a budget. Our budget is very tight so we need one for under $200 and even greater under or a little over $100. How does this card perform in a PC like this one and which card do you prefer for us. We don't play high demanding games on it because she mostly plays her SIMS 4 game and I only play Planet Coaster and NoLimits Coaster 2

Would love to see you lot have a look at the WX 4100. On paper should be slightly better then the NVIDIA T400. Want to build a fairly decent SSF system that sips power that I can use with ChimeraOS. Maybe pair it with a 4th gen intel S or T version of the CPU. People are basically giving away the HP ProDesk 600 G1 SSF and DDR3 1866MHz is very cheap.

eh i find that the 3.0 slot makes ya lose about 10 FPS on avg if anyone was wondering so all and all still definitely worth putting in an optiplex. I got a buddy with a 7040 with a i5 6500 with 32GB of my old ram lol and he's getting like 60-80 FPS in most games we play. He's happy with it cause the computer was in the bin outside of his work lol. The card was 180 bucks on ebay and he's def happy.

This GPU is more for a small efficient ITX or SFF PC build. For a simple budget GPU the RX 6600 is more easier to obtain and practical.

This card is being GOBBLED up by SFF community for sure. Small PSUs for less than 300W and cases under 4 liters can still get up and go with GPUs like this paired with a 45-75w CPU. All that being said, ETA prime just popped one of these into a 7th Gen office PC and it was KILLER. YOU guys should defiantly make an optiplex/office PC build.

Do any optiplex build, maybe show the differences between some different optiplex models. This would help people know which one to get for it.

Yeah because I'm pretty sure that some of the sff optiplexs have the pcie x16 slot under the x1 slot on the motherboard. Which makes putting a 2 slot card in them impossible because of the PSU location. Could be wrong and it may be another oem office PC with that lay out. I know some of the HP Elite/prodesks you can only fit a half height single slot card because of this issue.

@@Sp3cialk304 3020 SFF has this issue. Could the power supply be replaced with a pico PSU? That might help. Or am I stuck with the handful of single slot half height cards on the market? (RX 550, RX 6400, T400/600/1000 - not to mention the lower tier cards like the GT 1030 (what I have) or less...) I'd go for the A2000 at $250 if only it would fit, but it won't. Damn stupid Dell always screwing up their system design for no good reason.

@@SeeJayPlayGames you can try getting a pico or maybe a thinner PSU and I think there is a adapter for the PSU to plug into the motherboard. You may have to cut a little on the back of the case but it wouldn't be terribly difficult. May even be a way to move stuff around inside the case. Idk.

@@Sp3cialk304 as long as the A2000 isn't super long, if the stock power supply could be removed, the case would have the width for it.
