The Success Story of the Shigesato Brothers - The Men Who Created Japan's Best Japanese Family Restaurant
A perfect example of a stubborn old man of the Showa era.
The father of the charismatic founder, Susumu, was such a man.
Delicious food at a reasonable price.
That spirit remains unchanged to this day.
His older brother, Yoshitaka (chairman), 10 years his senior, is the complete opposite.
Masahiko, the second son, went to Tokyo University and worked for a trading company.
However, one day during Masahiko's first year at work, a shocking event occurred.
His father, Susumu, died suddenly at the age of 59.
His older brother, Yoshitaka, became the second president at the age of 35.
Masahiko, on the other hand, continued to work in a field other than the family business, including overseas assignments.

Masahiko, now 40 years old, was at a crossroads in his life.
After much consideration, he decided to go the "SATO" route.
However, it was in 2008 that he changed jobs.
That was the year of the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.

この会社の最大のターニングポイントである、過重労働による労働基準法違反についても触れてほしかったです。あの有罪判決を受けて、会社がそれまでのやり方をどう反省し、考え方を改めたのかを社長に語ってほしかったです。
