Honestly this is something I had been guilty of until making this documentary. Sitting down and really diving into that time period and some of the teams and deficits he had to overcome, it's amazing to me that he didn't get more praise for some of the performances he put on. I know he struggled in that 2011 Finals and he had some all star teammates, but there were multiple times that the Heat were on the ropes about to be eliminated and LeBron literally picked Miami up and carried them on his back. I definitely grew a new found respect and appreciation!

they don't give him enough credit becuase they were expected to win for what they put together. those teams listed don't come close to the super star power and depth of heat .

@@christophermauro-barias7451 You have a great point, but something to remember is the third (Back to Back season) and fourth Finals (Loss to Spurs) runs, the supporting cast in Miami severely underperformed. Sure they still had a great team and big names, but it wasn't the same Wade and Bosh was struggling to find an identity with the team. LeBron put up some really respect worthy performances during both of those runs, that actually saved their entire seasons.

@@TriceOfficial well wade and bosh had to deal with injuries . but San Antonio big 3 from 2000s were also aged too so it evened out. not to mention pop was just a better coach than spo and the following year Miami got blasted and Leonard had grown since the past finals. nothing against lebron but when you say you gonna win 7+ rings and have a star studded line up you are expected to win.

@@christophermauro-barias7451 I know Lebron specifically gets destroyed for the first final lost and that’s fair, but as we’ve seen time and time again, it’s extremely hard to win it your first year together with those personalities. At one point, we had Barkley, Hakeem, and Scottie, this last Nets experiment or what happened with the clippers. San Antonio had won multiple championships together, and the Mavericks were established with great Rhythm and chemistry. The heat was not really deep until Ray Allen came along in my opinion.

I never hated Lebron for leaving to play in Miami, it was obvious that the Cavs surrounded him with a horrible supporting cast. Lebron did amazing things but completely carried those teams especially in the playoffs/finals. Lebron's first 7 seasons were wasted.

Cleveland failed him repeatedly. Whiffed on keeping Boozer, whiffed in the draft year after year, whiffed in trade negotiations time after time, whiffed in free agency over and over, and failed to address apparent weaknesses with the team twice after failed Finals appearances.

And people try to compare lebron's decision to Durant going to golden state. Lebron left a team that the front office was never serious about winning where as Durant had a front office who put a contender around him each season.

Don’t forget KG, Ray and Pierce were the first player orchestrated big 3 in the modern era. It doesn’t matter if it was via trade. There’s no way KG is going to Boston without communicating with Ray and Paul. He left for a chance to win a championship, just like LeBron did.

It was okay because it was established by management instead of players. He would’ve been silly to stay in Cleveland knowing the outcome every year. There is no nobility in staying there only to lose. I remember Cleveland believing that JJ Hickson was untouchable… yeah, he needed to get outta there.

There's a lot of misinformation here. The Heat weren't heavily favored in that series vs the Thunder. They were dogs going into that series. Funny how you left out all the role players that won big games in those playoffs/finals and just made it seem like Lebron did it all by himself. For example that Lebron cramp game vs OKC, he didn't finish the game, it was Mario Chalmers who was huge that game hitting tough shots. He also cost D-Wade his 2nd Finals MVP in 2011. This is just Lebron's time with the Heat, not necessarily the Big 3 Heat. This is more like a commercial for him and not telling the whole story like what a documentary does. The worst part is you mention the other players contribution to the game that's playing for the other team. You're basically painting it as Lebron did everything like he did with those Cavs teams which isn't true.
@TriceOfficial
@TriceOfficial Жыл бұрын
First of all, I think you need to be careful how you throw around the word misinformation. There may be perspectives and narratives that you disagree with, and many of them may have been presented in a way that progresses the story, but none of the facts stated were false. That being said, this documentary is centered around specifically LeBron James and his contributions to the Miami Heat. It's not a Miami Heat documentary and it's not a Big 3 documentary. Every other character is in the background of this particular topic. We did our best to still highlight notable other accomplishments from other players on the team (Ray Allen's big shot in Game 6, Wade's great performance in the 2011 Finals, Mike Miller's big game in the 2012 Finals, etc) but it was impossible for us to cover every single thing that happened over that four year span and still keep the focus on LeBron. It's also important to remember, that those last two Finals runs by Miami, LeBron very much had to take on a "Cleveland" type role when Wade began to digress due to injuries. That was an important part of the story to tell. I'd love to some day work on a full project about the entire Big 3 during that era, but for now, my team and I were limited to focusing on just LeBron...and we're proud of the story we were able to tell.
@TheRealist1.
@TheRealist1. Жыл бұрын
The user name says it all... Wade did what he did,but crediting LeBron doesn't mean you're discounting Wade. Both Wade and Bosh were beginning to break down,and the team depth was never there. Teams weren't going into the luxury tax like they are now,and the bench finally having a good series in the Finals doesn't mean they were deep.

I h8 when ppl say that Miami was the first superteam, when really it was Boston. Lebron joined Miami because he knew he would never make it outta the east if he had to play the Celtics in the playoffs. Boston had too much fire power for Lebron and that Cleveland team, really Bron had to business making that far into the playoffs with that Cleveland team

Miami were not the favorites in the 2012 Series against OKC. Thunder were slightly ahead in the odds and alot of people thought Miami would lose. Technically the Heat were slight underdogs against OKC

Everyone say LeBron made the first player chosen super team! That's not true Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen they were the first ones to do what they said LeBron did LeBron's Miami team was just way better because the Boston team was towards the end of their career now Boston was in their prime if they were 26 27 28 years old like Chris Bosh LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were then I don't know that Boston team would have been nasty but they were a lot older than LeBron's Miami heat team was that's why I think people notice LeBron's team way more than Boston cuz I'm telling you Boston was the same age as that Miami heat team I'm telling you they would have been in five straight finals I don't know if that Miami heat team would have got through them every year they probably would have split it two and two

I don't understand how S2pid these Cavs fans are for being mad at LBJ for leaving them....Cavs Mgt NEVER got anyone to seriously try & help him win...the best they did was to get a washed up Shaq. Dan Gilbert had to swallow all his freaking pride to personally fly to Mia & like literally beg LBJ to comeback to CLE etc...... imagine a Billionaire team owner who after insulting LBJ etc.....now had to do that !!!!!!!!
