So glad that you are posting tutorial videos again. I retired earlier this year and took up the whistle as a new hobby. Your previous videos have really helped me learn to play the whistle. Thank you!

Rather you than me teaching this 😄 I learned it a few years ago and it took me a while to get the muscle memory! Nice version.

Thank you very much for the tuition. May I ask you to explain about jig rhythm? I have a problem to get the right rhythm. I realized that mine sounds not right even I play notes correctly because of the rhythm, but I don't know how to make it proper.

Do you provide direct lessons for those wishing to learn the Tin Whistle?
@RyanDunsSJ Жыл бұрын
I used to -- but it's hard to do given schedules. I'm not opposed to it.

@@RyanDunsSJ I’m in the UK, and wondered if it’s possible, to get lessons and if so how would I go about it in with your schedule.

Can you send me an email? You can get it off the Marquette University website.

What is a "set dance"?
@RyanDunsSJ3 жыл бұрын
Irish dancers will perform dances "set" to a particular piece of music. In the case of a traditional set, like The King of the Fairies, the choreography of the dance is pre-established.
