It's still pretty funny how Zach tried to pull a Harden and intentionally play bad so we trade him, but all he did was tank his value to the point we were gonna send him to Detroit so he took himself out to prevent the trade from happening 😭😭

@locked on kings i think you have to look at cheap options with players who can shoot the 3, hustle, play defence and rebounds and blocks and have a year left on their contract for flexibility. you missing a prime candidate that likely can be had for a 2nd round pick in chris boucher who has playoff and championship experience as well. kings need to improve defence as a priority.

Nice to finally meet you in person at the camp MG. I think this potential deal with Chicago is the best option for us to improve if Malik leaves in free agency. I don't think the Kings would have to attach a 1st round pick to get this deal done as the Bulls seem pretty desperate to unload Zach's contract but I wouldn't send 2 picks. I checked out a bulls podcast and they were framing it as getting 1 protected 1st rounder in the deal. Hoping this isn't even a discussion when free agency begins. Monk wouldn't announce he is leaving during his 1st sacramento basketball camp that starts on June 30th at the same Hardwood palace right?? LOL

I love speculating ! 😂 I got two points to make: 1. If I’m considering the package you put on the table to get Lavine/Caruso, I am more interested in getting Patrick Williams than AC. 2. Man, I understand winning now… but what if we go the draft capital route. Go get a couple more 1sts in this years (or future 1st) draft picks for HB/Huerter/Mitchell?

I appreciate you naming that this deal isn't a "draft night" deal and likely more of a Free Agency deal depending on what happens with Malik. If he leaves then moving Huerter and Barnes makes sense because there isn't a log jam at the guard position keeping Mitchell and Ellis.

It’s definitely a risk for both sides. Kings would be risking a lot financially with Lavine, but I’ve heard reports that say Lavine clearly states that he will be available to play once the regular season starts up again. Both sides need to make moves to get better and avoid that play-in picture. So imo, this trade could potentially help both sides do exactly that..adding Lavine and Caruso would help bolster kings offensive firepower while also bringing that defensive pedigree that any contender would need. Bulls would clear cap space, and finally revamp their roster around their upcoming combo guard white. My point is, even though this might not be the most attractive deal for both teams, I still think it benefits both in a major way in the near future.

Like I said so many times, "Sacramento is not a marquee free agent destination." Their only recourse to get very good players is via trade. If the Bulls trade is the only one available, then it is better than "run it back" again.

I wasn’t against Zach lavine before this podcast but after hearing how bad that contract is with how many games he’s played, I’m good. Chicago will get desperate and eventually trade Caruso without needing to take on Levine. I’m also okay waiting for a different player to become available or going for kuzma hopefully just giving up expiring contracts and a pick.

If Monk leaves, this trade has to be done. LaVine is both "discounted" and should be motivated to prove that he's still a difference maker on a good team. Caruso has that dog in him - hopefully it's contagious.

Giving up 2 first round picks is wild. Lavine’s contract has negative value. They would be essentially trading 2 picks and taking on a huge untradable contract for a one year rental of Alex Caruso. Bulls would jump at that trade.

We need our medical staff to have a solid look at Levine. He is a super talent however his availability do to injury is not good and with an outrageous contract if he is hurt we will be stuck with him and the contract for the future. I’m not sure I want to surrender our future that heavily. If he is healthy we would have an amazing team but financial if it doesn’t workout we will suck for about three years until his contract is up and by then we will be rebuilding again. Tempted but for me the risk is a bit to high unless we are not giving up much.

As a Bulls fan the only trade move I would accept from the Sacramento Kings is... Bulls get: Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerters, Trey Lyles or Sasha Vezenkov (money filler), this year 1st round draft pick #13 from the Kings, a future 1st round draft pick unprotected between 20-30 range and a future top 2nd round draft pick between 31-41. Kings get: Zach LaVine and Alex Caruso To me this is more of a realistic fair trade for both sides. As a Bulls fan I can tell you this Sacramento fans, if Zach LaVine is healthy he can easily average between 20-25ppg shooting at a high percentage and as for Alex Caruso he is a versatile juggernaut top defender from 1-5, great passer, high percentage 3 point shooter and provide leadership to your team. That is why both of these guys are at least worth 3 draft picks put together with solid players to match their salaries.

You heard correct bud... for example in the 2022-2023 season when LaVine was healthy, the New York Knicks offered 2 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICKS along with 2 good young players and 1 expiring vet contract for LaVine and the Bulls dumb GM turned it down and wanted more assets. Right now to be realistic LaVine is worth 1 2nd round draft with 2 solid players. If Caruso is involved in the package, then the kings have to offer more then just 2 1st round draft picks at the table

We dont need a MAJOR trade. We have to trust that Keegan, Davion, Keon, etc. will be better, and the #13 pick will contribute. Besides that, we have to think Monte & Brown will make the necessary adjustments. Calm down.

I think its better then Ingram but worth then Kuzma, he at least will play for sure. I wouldnt go for it even if Monk is gone. We must give a chance for Ellis. My wish is to keep Monk, add Kuzma and P. Williams (i think he is a FA). I think we have luxury to have one year to see how much Ellis and Murray will inprove. I see Lavigne trade just too desperate. But i fully agree that team is on win now mode so in general i woudnt mind any of big trades. P.s. i wonder how hard is to get O. Toppin. I see him being able to be as good as Kuzma is but without his minuses. I guess Toppin for sure dont want to be a Siakam backup and we could offer him a starter spot.

As a Bulls fan I can confidently say IF you can get Zach AND AC? You do it. Does it mean a 'chip? Good lord maybe not. But if in "win now" mode? Yes. As this vid pointed out. The NBA is hard! Tough to find available talent. But you get to a certain spot and give it your best shot. Get Alex? You have YOUR Marcus Smart, Derrick White. Get Lavine? Who is DYING to play in Cali and chose SAC as a prefered destination last season? Oh...thats fun, COMPETITIVE basketball. A defensive 3&D DOG like AC and an EXPLOSIVE offensive threat like Lavine? Nothing is perfect. But add them BOTH to THIS team? Sparks will fly for a couple seasons, at least.

The only way this will be worth it to me if they get rid of barnes, kevin plus another non core player and end up keeping monk and move keegan to the 4 and Zack to the 3. So the line up would look like domas, keegan, Zach, monk, fox. I would be ok with that

I do NOT like LaVine's contract and the number of games he's recently played, only 4 out 10 seasons he's played 80% of games. However, if the Kings can get Caruso in the deal, then that would be better, but still, the Bulls are more desperate than the Kings in this circumstance and I would NOT offer too much, and if anything I would expect the Bulls to give me a pick for LaVine's horrible contract. I just don't trust LaVine tbh and I think the Kings should look at other alternatives.

That contract is huge, so the Kings will need more flexibility, and LaVine being unreliable is one that I don't want. The Bulls will have to suck it up for us to take LaVine, Caruso, and the 11th....might need to add more.

Caruso by himself is worth easily 2 1st round draft picks and one late 2nd round draft pick. And as for LaVine he is worth in exchange for solid players with at least 1 2nd round draft pick at this point due to his health issues. For example when LaVine was Healthy in 2022-2023 season, the New Yorks Knicks offer 2 1st round draft picks with RJ Barrett, I Quickley and E. Fournier and the Bulls shot themself in the foot and turn it down.

Zach Lavine was good when he entered the league. But dude has been banged up and honestly he’s not a reliable asset. Alex Caruso would likely only be here for one season before he bolts to Miami or LA. I think Kyle Kuzma would be a safer and more reliable asset.

Matt said Lavine doesn't fit into Mike Browns physical defense...this team DOES NOT play any physical defense at all...Keon and at times Davion is probably the only two players who come close...they honestly need to address that issue over getting another defensive blackhole in Lavine.

The problem is there's not many defenders out there to "get". Maybe Valentunis is worth getting at $12-14 million yearly. So Fox, lavine, Keegan, sabonis,and Valentunis. Bench. 6th man Ellis. Pg backup Caruso, Trey lyles, and Len the bench. Get something from trading Mitchell.. keep Colby

A couple things… 1. DeAaron will never be the leader we need him to be and this video is further proof. I am dying to see any ounce of accountability from this man. He is very adamant about the team being such a poor free throw shooting team but HE was a MAJOR part of that, his free throw shooting was terrible, especially for a starting PG, but not a word said alluding to how HE must improve. 2. Matt, you said Lavine is a better scorer than Malik and I disagree. It’s all subjective. Lavine has been a starter playing nearly 40 minutes per game so of course his numbers will be higher but if you give Malik those opportunities I believe he can score just as much as Lavine. Just my two cents.

@@SKOOBZTERZ You overvalue the Sacramento’s players. Injury or contract Lavine is still a two-time all-star. Alex Caruso is a two-time all-defensive team member. You are gonna get have to give up something significant to get them both. Barnes and Huerter are salary matches in terms of trade value.

Lavine contract is horrible and he is injury prone plus they probably ask for multiple firsts and Keon Ellis. This could end horribly and set the franchise back. I would rather draft a player that could turn out to be good

You mean to say the Kings give up the 13th pick, one future 1st round draft pick unprotected and a one future 2nd round draft pick with Barnes, Huerter and Lyles or Vezenkov in exchange for just LaVine and Caruso you got yourself a deal Kings fans.

They will be beside the point in a few seasons. So...we keep the AWESOME 11th pick and keep a disgruntled Zach how much longer? And his contract. Should we re-sign DeMar, too? Starting line-up next two seasons: Coby, Ayo, DeMar, Vuc, PW/AC. Oh...but we kept the 11th pick from 2024! Are we having fun now?😅I like your deal fine.
