There's something important to note about the Magolor Epilogue and the way it explains Magolor ending up in the Clash universe. At the very start of the Magologue, when we're shown the flashback cutscene of Magolor getting rekt, they actually specifically show Magolor Soul. Now, HAL has been getting really thorough with their tiny details lately, especially when it comes to Return to Dreamland and timey-wimey nonsense. Magolor Soul is from KRtD's extra mode, and HAL has told us repeatedly that extra modes aren't canon. They're what-if scenarios that imagine things going down in slightly different ways. The Magologue choosing to show Magolor Soul instead of the way Magolor appears in the actual canon game was very intentional. The Magolor who goes through the Magologue and ends up as Shopkeeper Magolor in the Clash universe is actually the Magolor from this non-canon universe. This also explains the apparent discrepancy between Magolor's story seeming to have two contradictory endings - did he end up in the Clash universe, like the Magologue tells us, or did he make his way back to Pop Star and set up an amusement park, like we previously knew? Both! The Magologue simply chose to show us *Ex-Magolor's* path, not canon Magolor's path.
