Listening to this at 1 in the morning in Kingsville, Texas, thinking about the 90s... driving home from Six Flags Fiesta Texas or Sea World and falling asleep in the back of my dad's '89 Crown Victoria, playing at the park with my best friend before going to our other friend's house to play Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy VII, eating Kudos bars and going to McD's with my grandpa (RIP)... someday these memories will fade like tears in the rain...

I used to fall asleep to this every night in the early '90's. I was about three years sober and working my ass off to stay that way. This was a much needed escape from the day. Listening to it now brings me back to such a profound part of my life.

I used this song with my pupils. Told them they were going to listen to a story without words, had them lie down on cushions on the ground, eyes closed and STFU. It took about five minutes to quiet them down. Then they listened for half an hour. And then they had to write down the story they just heard. Amazing stories came out of it. Some still listen to it.

As a child my family would travel the the Village of Champion in rural southern Alberta, a 4 hour drive from Edmonton. Young me would be so tired from the long drive, the big dinner we always had upon arrival, and the chance to play with the old toys from the 60s only at that house. However, no matter how tired i was, laying in bed in my uncles old room, i would wait for the CN Rail train to pass in the distance, To hear the rumble and the bell. The first time i listened to this album was the first time i felt that feeling in my adult life, i was that kid again, listening to the hidden Elvis music inside the train tracks

Eight years ago the first boyfriend I had on College showed me this album... The first days we started dating he lended me his CD record. Little I knew that the perception I had on music was going to change after that, he showed me through this record new ways of creating mental landscapes with sounds. We are no longer together but I will always remember him and always be thankful that he came to my life to show me incredible things such as this amazing record. Mis mejores deseos hasta donde estés.

Back in the early 90s I found a cassette with Headfuck Tunes written on it (in biro over tippex as was the done thing). It was this album and I never actually knew who it was by. I got a few years out of it, usually stoned and listening through the Kefs or on the headphones, then I just...lost it or someone nicked it. For years I tried to find out who it was by but back then the internet wasnt really what it is now. Eventually I forgot about it until about 3 years ago. Literally 2 minutes into googling and I had my answer. I remember the hot rush up my legs and back with the excitement! In 5 minutes I had it again and that night, with the headphones on I cried with joy remembering the music, the friends, the laughs and loves from my youth. I still listen to it once or twice a month before I sleep and it never gets old. For everyone that hears this for the first time I envy you but also want to wish you welcome into the club. Put your headphones on, sit alongside us all, join hands and become one.

It's a somehow humbling experience feeling "special" for loving a piece of music so much, in a weird and hard-to-explain way, thinking that not many people appreciate it the way one does. Then you get one day into KZfaq, read some comments, and realize that you are not that special; it's actually the piece of music that has the power and has done the same thing to many others in many other ways. I've also listened to this album hundreds of times, and I've slept with it, and I've driven with it, and smoked, and drunk, and coded, and just had it in the background, and got shocked when I learned harmonic singing that it had been there buried all along, and, and...

One of the best things I did recently was commenting on this. Every time someone else comments I listen again. It's currently nearing the end of the work day, it's stormy outside, and I'm looking forward to a post-work lockdown beer. It's fitting the mood perfectly. Although arguably with this album it's more your mood fitting with the music.

I am absolutely devastated I didn't find this earlier in my life, despite listening to KLF a bunch in the Late 90s I was young (6 years old in 1990) and there was no internet and I simply didn't digg enough or have an older raver sibling to enlighten me. No excuse though really. At least I have it now. Masterpiece.

Coming to the end of dark days and despondency, images of my own suicide, I'm now at peace; life is good; suffering and hatred and judging is bad. I'm in a place now where I appreciate things I previously hated. (Musicals and wasps and cats are still the Devil's work but I can accept them....) This album especially, and subsequent work allows me to live peacefully. Beautiful work KLF. Thank you.x

1992 double dropping purple ohms, travelling eons through our minds and discovering the pinnacle of one's true soulful significance whilst flying through dimensional realms which had no space, time or boundaries..Friends made and lost along the way..this was the soundtrack which opened doors into the parallel universe where mind, heart and soul unite to travel into an eternal digital universe.
