I've never found Ari offensive, sometimes stupid but he never offended me. I will still watch him occasionally but my problem with Ari was when he dosed Bert K. I'm not a huge fan of Bert, Ari is definitely funnier but not knowing that slipping your buddy HARD drugs is bad is a bridge too far. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. He's too old to not know better.

Some people, like me, need comics to be a piece of garbage in the moment to distract us from tragedy. I used to read this online comic strip called "Warp 9 To Hell". Your typical edgy humor stuff of the early 2000s. When 9/11 happened, and we spent hours watching people die, either jumping or clinging to the buildings and waving, begging for their lives as we watched the collapse and saw them pummeled into dust. I came home from school (15 at the time) and I needed evil humor to distract me from watching 3,000 people die on repeat for 8 hours. I needed laughter like a drug addict. Sat down at the computer, licking my chops as I waited to log on and see the new Warp 9. They posted one cell of an American flag at half mast, a paragraph of gushing condolences below. I can't even convey my disappointment, but I understood why they did it. I needed to unload my emotions and they weren't equipped to help me. Oh, well, I guess. Deal with that yourself 😁

This girl I dated once had a Kobe jersey she was wearing when he passed. I told her he was a grapist she got all mad and said that girl is making that up. So I showed her some of the backstory and she took the jersey off and said “I’m not wearing that thing again. I didn’t know that stuff.”
