It's such a YG song that no one else can perform in this ways, such a swaggy fresh, dancing, exciting , fun, with march sound and I'm totally obsessed with it! This MV has also more old k-pop picture (?) , that I love, reminds a bit of Valkyrie or Twilight by Oneus and ofc Kill This Love! Honestly, I didn't pay much attention to Treasure, but now I think I should've....cause , don't know why, but my eyes keep focus on Hyunsuk, his rapping, dancing, acting and visual on top! I think in this Album they've found their Music. Bias aside Treasure is not that typical 4th Gen Group that stays in a Specific Genre only but play with all. They are YG with their own style. They slowly pulls you in with their beauty 🤧 You better see them in W and Dazed Korea, PD! And for the swagger, it’s like its ingrained in their blood. Junkyu is a hip hop enthusiast in his trainee days as stated by Hyunsuk, and it shows in their hip hop centric songs like MMM. Since MOVE, both Jae and Kyu are able to express their swag more since the previous TT of treasure expects these two to be the pretty boys of the group.

This video (visually) was like a tour though the MCU multiverse. We go from T5 Move to like...Dreamcatcher Deja Vu, then a little return to Jikjin, then for a second we're like in a Mirae video, and then... Lonely Island I'm On A Boat? I'm not complaining, it was just dizzying.

I see your point why it feels like their music was leading to this song, but just from the perspective of them combining many things. But from the perspective as you said: “chronologically/album-wise”… Not really… Before their debut, YG announced they were planning to have their discography release order and albums’ forms/types in the way as BIGBANG did. Which was having 3 single albums and then full length album, which would combine songs from the 3 single albums. Then start to have mini albums, again 3 in a row and after that having the 2nd full length album, which would include songs from the mini albums or at least their remixes. And since they were really following this release order until now (The First Step having 3 chapters (single albums) and then its full length album and then The Second Step Chapter One and Two), it is really likely they were planning to have The Second Step Chapter Three and then having the 2nd full length album The Second Step: “Something”, which would include songs of the mini albums. But probably because of the departure of members and then Yang Hyun Suk becoming YG’s CEO again and being in the charge of taking care of Treasure for the first time since their debut, he might have decided to change the plan and make this “fresh restart” for them. Which is kind of cool. I was hoping they would keep the original idea of having their discography as BIGBANG, but it really feels like this is the new beginning and everything works just fine. No big change of their sound. Actually they are paying a homage to their songs and to the songs of other YG artists as well and not just here, but on the b-sides as well… I cannot wait for the listening party! 🙏🏽🫱🏽‍🫲🏾
