Hey PD! The main point of tripleS is having these rotational sub-units, it's like the whole group is NCT U. Helps to think that an unit solidifying because it met the sales threshold is the exception, not the rule~ AAA can and do still perform their songs in events, they recently performed those on university festivals, so it's not like they're gone and fans won't be able to see them perform again. They just don't want to commit to having sub-units comeback so early on the group's lifespan since the entire concept is to have different combinations doing different things

"What happens to these girls?" Nothing, they stay in the group and then WAVs will vote to put them in another subunit they deem appropriate. Note that they can't be voted out of subunits in a given voting period: All four subunits were presented in pairs which have the same number of members. The corresponding members were paired by MODHAUS and their fans can swap these member pairs via vote. AAA and KRE had both their concepts connected (it seems they're about two sides of social media formats). We don't have information about the imagery of LOVElution and EVOLution but their genres are supposed to be contrasting opposites. [The demos for the title tracks that won are on the channel.] TL;DR Subunits will keep rotating across both current and future members. No member is gonna be kicked out. PS: Full group releases will be sporadic (I think once a year?)

in regards to the concern about the memorability of each individual member, which you also mentioned in your album reaction, I'd say that engaging with tripleS like you would any other group is going to make it really difficult to get a grasp on the members. modhaus has made comparisons to the produce series so i'll use the same metaphor, it's like only watching the performance rounds of boys planet and then being confused as to why you aren't able to grasp all 98 contestants. the music videos are only one component of many carrying their debut project. tripleS' daily content and voting tournaments are as important to their rollout as the subunit debuts are. of course, you could argue that the barrier of entry makes the group less appealing to casual listeners, but modhaus seems to be actively prioritizing creating a reliable and invested fanbase early on over being as gp friendly as possible. they've also been making active efforts to send members on individual schedules to establish their presence separate from the group, such as seoyeon and jiwoo on queendom puzzle. the subunit structure also gives them the flexibility to take on bigger projects that the average idol would be restricted from due to the demands of their group activities. also, the shuffling of the subunits is a complete non issue to fans, in fact i don't think there's a lot of fans who want it any other way. jaden has a post on his blog where he talks about how people often lose interests in groups after the excitement of their debut wears off. ive seen first hand how tripleS having subsequent "debuts" with new members and new combinations side steps this issue with the shuffling of units renewing that debut excitement among their fans. it feels like an intentional application.

Their album is 10/10 and their song Deja Vu was written and produced by a member of tripleS named Sohyun. She also wrote a bside for the new Odd Eye Circle album

I'll be completely honest, Cherry Talk is my least favourite of the three tripleS title tracks so far. It's still a good song but Generation and Rising are much better. The Aesthetic album has some really good b-sides though and one of them, Touch, also just got a music video! The four members of +(KR)ystal Eyes (or KRE for short) aren't new, however. All of them have been in Rising and on the Assemble album. The members in KRE are S1 Yoon Seoyeon, S3 Lee Jiwoo, S4 Kim Chaeyeon and S6 Kim Soomin. Rising featured everyone from S1 to S10. The cameo at the end IS from three completely new girls. They're S11 Kamimoto Kotone, S12 Kwak Yeonji and S13 Hsu Nien Tzu. You've seen Kotone and Nien on Girls Planet 999. KRE's b-side MV for Touch also features a cameo from S14 Park Sohyun. What happens to the members of the AAA subunit? Well, a tripleS unit is never *meant* to be permanent. But that doesn't mean that those songs are never gonna be performed again. They recently performed at Waterbomb with a new combination of Seoyeon, Chaeyeon, Nakyoung and Dahyun. That's not an "official" subunit but they still performed songs from all previous units. Plus, S1 - S16 have already been completely reassembled into two new subunits with eight members each. In fact, we will always, constantly get new subunits. Next up is LOVElution, consisting of S1 Seoyeon (KRE), S2 Hyerin (AAA), S8 Yubin (AAA), S9 Kaede, S10 Dahyun, S13 Nien, S14 Sohyun and a still unrevealed member. Then it's EVOLution with S3 Jiwoo (KRE), S4 Chaeyeon (KRE), S5 Yooyeon (AAA), S6 Soomin (KRE), S7 Nakyoung (AAA), S11 Kotone, S12 Yeonji and another unrevealed member. I feel like the strategy is to establish tripleS first, with the concept of a group that is constantly changing. A group of all possibilities if you will. But from what I know, solos are also planned for the future. And Seoyeon and Jiwoo are currently competing on Queendom Puzzle. So we're gonna get to know a lot about the individual strengths of those two in particular.

My question is for this group, because there are so many members, wouldn't it be hard to attract new fans? Because one of the reasons kpop is so popular is about 'connecting' with your idols/biases. But that seems difficult when there are new faces everytime or u have to wait long til your bias comes back. It can also be daunting to get into the group or learn more about them when there is so many members
