PD: It feels more like a short film. More like a movie. Me: It feels more like Bighit. Bighit beginning to have a recognizable signature in their mvs. Intriguing & mysterious with a story line. So glad Bighit is invested in giving TXT a solid foundation. So far both TXT & BTS have gotten their proper amount of attention from the company. I'm pleased.

I loved your input as always... I think it's a bit unfair like you said to the other TXT videos because this went just another level. Big Hit is amazing creatively, they did a cute and scary concept work perfectly together. They set themselves a bar too high for their first comeback, but I think they can surpass this, I trust them in that matter. I just applaud the boys too, their acting resonated with me a lot, Yeonjun wow, that scene when he removes the horn is so captivating and beautiful like you said but at the same time so heartbreaking it's difficult to realize that this is just a story. And unique. SO UNIQUE. Like in western MVs and kpop MVs I have never seen anything remotely similar to this. And that's amazing. TXT are not just BTS' juniors, they are doing their on thing, and standing out expectionally while being themselves.

Is it just me or was there a crown reference in the mv? Didn't the lyrics of crown mention about how horns grew on their heads on day, and and winged person saved them? Isn't that like how Yeonjun grew horns, and Kai (who has wings) was to first person to walk out and help him stand up? Idk it might just be me…

I have a soft spot for that song and the mv makes the song even better, I didn't expect this and I really love it! I agree with the Wes Anderson vibes, and it reminded me of Tim Burton's 90s movies as well. I also like how it linked to crown with the boy with horns meeting the boy with wings thing. I'm glad TXT have their own identity and style. In conclusion, I liked a lot of things!

Nap of a star mv had such nostalgic vibes for me personally especially with the 'pop-up storybook' look the 2D trees had and the Wes Anderson filming style reminded me of Fantastic Mr. Fox which I loved as a kid. Some of the mv reminded me of old disney cartoons that were more dark and artistic. This mv is so artistic honestly, thank you for this Kulture study PD Please watch Z-BOYS - No Limit and Z-GIRLS - What You Waiting For

Literally, first thing that came to mind when I first saw this was The Smashing Pumpkin's Tonight, Tonight. I'm not sure you remember that but it's based on the French director, Georges Méliès with a little bit of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands mixed in. And of of course there are so many inspired by his movie Trip to the Moon. I think Tom Hanks adapted the story, I think. But yeah, this was very emotional for me to watch. The only way I could watch your assessment was to just listen or I'd cry again. This had a lot of meaning for me, I knew about this story through their early trailers but I had no idea it would become this, beautiful but painful. I was so happy to see you had posted this! Great work, PD.

I was waiting for this! 😄 My first impression was also an evocation of stop-motion films, but having seen the video a few times now I must say it's more in the style of a silent film! The intertitles are an obvious clue, but the framerate with it's cut-off nature actually does fit lots of silent films as well! And the almost theatre-like set design really drives it home for me. 😊 Thanks for your video!

LAIKA animation studios is the new not shitty stop motion company. This reminds me of their work, especially how the horns were stylized in the ‘real world’ scenes but were more natural in the stylized ring of red and blue trees. This kind of flip flop symbolism is something that made me think of Laika’s Coralline and Box Trolls. Did you see the thing in the background of the walking/running through the forest scenes? Now I’m forever gonna be looking in the background of everything TXT for that shadow/skull witch/man, cause I think that could be something they could throw in in odd places...

I am left bawling every time I watch this music video, including right now watching you reaction... It has such a meaningful message and the video is simply one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, especially paired with this song, which sounds soo emotional and has such beautiful lyrics, it makes me die a little every time. This hits hard (with emotion) in so many ways that I feel like no other music video will be able to have the same effect on me. There's such innocence(?), nostalgia(?), yet such a heavy feeling throughout the whole thing, and this stop-motion style made it look like a very beautiful, slightly disturbing children's story. I'm sorry I'm rambling but I'm a mess right now lmaoo my pillow is soaked in tears

This MV made me love Nap of the Star... when TXT first debuted I wasn’t in the “mood” for slower, sadder songs as I was relatively upbeat in that time period. It wasn’t that nap of the star was a bad song I just wasn’t in the mood for that vibe, but the MV made me do a complete 180 and now Nap of the Star might be my favorite song from the album It’s crazy how much having a visual representation of something can change your opinion of it. I heavily rely on visuals when I form impressions and opinions on things and this MV had such beautiful and unique visuals. I’m really glad I get to watch it.

TXT wanted to highlight about “growing pains” in their comeback, and I really think they’ve done an outstanding job with the storyline their universe follows. And if you think about the age group of TXT, the theme is actually perfect. Often young adolescents transitioning into adulthoods will often experience more hardships as time goes on when they move into their young adult life, feeling more pressure to mature quicker and find their place in society when everybody really finds their own place at their own time. The horns not only symbolizes an adolescents growing pains, but also insecurities (as we see Yeonjun try to get of what grew to be a part of him) and that by trying to get rid of those parts of us, we’d really only be hurting ourselves. TXT has really set a high standard by being able to create this level of depth into their music while also making it very appealing to audiences. I’m super proud of TXT and I can’t wait to see more of their content in the future.

I’m very impressed that Big Hit continues to go on with creating stories for their groups. That goes to show they have this goal of really touching people’s hearts. Creating stories that are related to being human: mistakes, happiness, self love, sacrifices, hard work, pain and suffering. I’m glad that TxT are a part of this and are able to share and partake with their own and people’s stories about life. I’m actually convinced and are hopeful for these kids’ future. They will make their own story a success.

This mv was apart from cinematic heaven very dark and eerie... Like the undertone of addressing depression and self-harm in a way is crazy and it's hidden in this fairytale-like story... It's just so beautiful and I appreciate it so much since they're generally very young and talking about these kind of topics at such young age, wow. I mean it's bighit overall but these boys have something different in them, they're brightly and innocently showing how world truly is...

Honestly when I first saw the music video I thought of Georges Melies silent films at first, with the dialogue/narration slides and the color grading, but as the video progressed it reminded me strongly of Fantastic Mr. Fox. I like how it connects to Crown’s storyline (which was further elaborated in their debut showcase) and how the horns can represent the devil (like in pagan mythology) while the wings symbolize an angel. Your description of this video resembling a pop up story book captures how I felt while watching this, since it also gave me Where the Wild Things Are as well. I liked your reaction. Thank you PD.
