The reason Hermès has nothing to say about his students was because they still couldn't comprehend how easy it was to go from being mortal to immortal. They had immortal man in front of them and still couldn't comprehend that Knowledge never dies. That is why He still speak loud and clearly to the listening ear.

This should b required reading for all! I am not a person who has been interested in the occult or spirituality, but this, not only relates to, but actually provides explanation, many of the scientific principles of which I am very familiar. This is the 2nd time I've listened. I have started to think about things in a different way, and I'm beginning to think that what we now consider advancements, are actually the very things holding us back! Just like the brain of heroin addict ceases to produce certain neurotransmitters because after replacing them with something external for enough time, the body adapts, I beginning to believe that the addition of technology is having the same effect. This helps me understand why past civilizations, who appear to have been much more advanced in many way, show little evidence of any technology we associate with advancement. Live well everyone!

I believe he was one of the first who acknowledged or at least wrote down that the Three Initiates or initiators were.. the creative power (God), the first man with no breath of life (our eternal soul) and the man with breath of life (carnal man). I am inclined to think that this work was produced by some Edwardian College students of aristocratic environment. I sense the idealism of youth coupled with the optimism which richly adorned the hopes of prewar Europe.

Interesting how Christians speak of this friend from long ago.... or have you not perceived the TriMagi, TriMagistus, TresMagos or 3WiseMan. It was already said that you can see his teachings in every now or to come religion.

The Kybalion isn't Hermetic nor was it written by "Three Initiates" nor is "Kybalion" even an, actual, word much less a real book. There is some speculation the author was trying to come up with a word that sounded ancient and may have even been a play on "Kabbalah", to give the work more weight than it deserves. The sole author of the book is William Walker Atkinson, a late 19th century proponent of the New Though Movement that was begun in the early 19th century by Phineas Quimby. Atkinson was never an "initiate" of anything relative to Hermeticism. As an aside, the New Thought Movement also gave us Christian Science. Four of the seven so-called "Hermetic Principals" have a basis in historical Hermeticism, but Atkinson has mangled them so badly they no longer reflect the actual philosophy and so are useless to a student of the true Tradition. This is likely because Atkinson himself didn't understand the basics of Hermetic Philosophy. The other three are derived directly from the New Thought Movement so these are hardly "ancient" despite that author's claim. For instance, the Principle of Vibration has no basis in historical Hermetic Philosophy; it comes directly from the New Thought Movement. What Atkinson did was egregious. He took the philosophy of a, then, very new tradition (New Thought) put it into a book with some elements from a very old tradition (Hermeticism) in a mangled form at that and, not only claimed an ancient basis for all of it, but claimed that something was Hermetic when it isn't. Likewise, if a historical texted named the Kybalion ever, actually, existed it didn't survive so it would be impossible for Atkinson to reference it for his so-called "axioms' that found in each chapter of the book. Atkinson made them up, folks. I include a list of the Hermetic works that did survive and are available for study. The deeper, and more problematic, deception of the Kybalion is found in the heavy emphasis placed on the "mental transmutation" favored by the New Thought Movement while relegating the spirituality, theology, cosmology, ethos, etc. found all over historical Hermetic Philosophy to the dust-bin; hence, my statement that this book isn't Hermetic. The emphasis in the Hermetic texts that have come down to us places a extremely high importance on reverence for the divine . So much so that divine reverence is the first step to the realization of our own inherent divinity and apotheosis. If you want a New Age mish-mash of self-help drivel, by all means, buy this waste of paper and ink. If you want historical Hermetic Philosophy forget the nonsensical Kybalion and start with the Corpus Hermeticum. The translation made by Brian P. Copenhaver is the best modern translation and offers explanations and tons of foot-notes to help you understand the text. This work also includes a translation of the Latin Asclepius, another foundational Hermetic text. Then move onto The Virgin of the World, The Stobaen and Armenian Fragments, The Discourse on the Eighth and Ninth found in the Nag Hammadi Codices and The Emerald Tablet. A study of Neoplatonism would also be helpful to the student of Hermetic Philosophy.

The All is the Infinite Cosmos. But the word All has linguistic limitations. It only attempts to grasp the Infinite Cosmos. In German the word All which is a German word means Universe. But All is a limited term because All implies All there is. But there is no such thing as a finality, linearity or measurement because it's Infinite. That is why I don't use the word All in the context of Infinity.

So that outpouring of the creator wrapping itself up with the creation caused an interesting idea to strike me. So...imagine the author of a book creates a character. This character is also an author...and he is creating a character. This character he is creating...is as well an author who is creating a story about an author....who is creating a character. While creating the character he comes up with the idea of an infinite loops of authors creating characters. The all...creates a creature that is the all to another creature it created that is again the all to another creature and so on and so on. Like a fractal going into itself. So that the fundamental state is creation. Creation is all. Creation is life. Infinite loops of creator and creation. Going deeper within itself. Now here is the issue. Our focus is not as extreme as the focus of the all. The all seems to be so wrapped up in it's creation that it is all that there ever is. Where when we create something...he take breaks and so our characters only exist when we consciously think about them. Where the all seems to be able to keep a thought running for eternity. When we sleep...where do our characters go? Can we ever focus to the same degree the all can focus? Can we create a universe that seems to continually run? So does Hermes put a finger to his lips when asked why the all creates? Perhaps to know the answer we must stop speaking and start listening within. Listen to the author's mind feeding us the narrative.

This word Kybalion can only be etymologically described with the Albanian language. Ky- this bal- forehead ion- of ours. This forehead of ours makes sense when Hermès teachings were about how everything is in the mind. Prove me wrong.
