Custom Pushrods: Pushrod Clearance and Easy Valve Spring Replacement
The LA-phant: Episode 11
After demonstrating how to measure and cut custom pushrods, we review some small modifications required for the heads. After checking the left, we change the valve springs while the heads are still installed using a neat tool from LSR Racing.
The LA-phant is a naturally aspirated 437 MOPAR LA small block stroker build with sights set on 700 HP.
This build is based on the Chrysler/MOPAR 340 small block which were known for their larger cylinder bores (4.04 inches). However, the videos contain concepts applicable to 318 and 360 blocks as well.
