the starting five of lakers just o your job , do what is right for the right play for the right direction, for the team chemistry, all players must move, look for the passer, catch and shoot, shoot, make it, then hustle, steal, rebounding, passing the ball, making shots, diving for the ball, and force the opponents for turn over. thats it, start the game and finish it strong. hope the coaching staff are working, working, nd ham is working for it.

This is where you know if anyone really knows anything in nba basketball. Anyone who thinks murray is a good fit in lakers does not know much, he is basically westbrook 2.0, a ball dominant guard to play the best of his abilities and lebron is like that aswell. You play lebron as center or powerforward they would keep on losing because hes not good playint those positions and would just pad his stat while unable to play his best to actually win games. What they need is a bigman that would help davis inside the paint or a shooting guard that is a very good shooter from the outside.

All I'm gonna say is how they have played the past week (4-2) in that span with wins coming against the clippers, thunder, Mavericks tells me the team looks like it's found it's identity again. At end of day it does not Matter what seed the Lakers finish as long as they get in. They have looked good again obviously some trades will be nice but looks like they figured everything out.

@@ClareAmel100%. I don’t trust this win against the Mavs, Luka was a little rusty from his injury, and Kyrie looked off after he took that fall. Lakers can’t defend the 3, and their offense is clunky at best. The only way they win is if the opposing team misses wide open 3’s, DLo is hitting tough shots, and Lebron and AD both show up. If any one of those 3 don’t happen, they lose.

Lakers don't even need to make a big move or trade, D.Lo, Reaves and others need to play more consistently and off of AD who obviously needs the offense built around him now instead of LeBron. I wouldn't mind seeing Prince or Reddish packaged to get a better 3&D wing or a playmaker

I'm not gonna jump on Ham too much, but the lineups just look goofy to me. I know they've dealt with some injuries, but how can you put two bench players in the starting lineup, and put two starters on the bench? I think the starting lineup they've had for the past couple of games works better. I just think they're lacking a backup big, and maybe a solid playmaker

Trade.... new players come in with the nice rhythm they have from their previous team...the team does really well, everyone is in that dating/first impression phases, playing friendly ball. DJ is not a good perimeter defender and I'd say Trae is just as good a defender at the POA as DJ, which isn't saying much. DJ being in the team has pushed Trae to become a better defender which he has but DJ's defence is weak. He's been great on offence for the Hawks but a major disappoinment on defence. Either way none of those trade packages from the Lakers look any good.

LMAO this isn't 2000's where you can win with just lockdown defense. Offense has greatly evolved and teams are scoring 120 pts vs. high ranked defensive teams. The only sustainable way for Lakers to get higher win shares starting from now is if the rest of the team (besides Lebron and AD) can collectively produce 70+ points. Surely you can't get that from Reaves, Dlo, Rui, and Wood when you got guys like Prince, Cam, and Vando laying eggs. So, the Lakers badly need a consistent scorer who can help maintain their defensive threat. Who is that 3rd guy? Dejounte Murray.

Best case scenario is Murray so you could finally have a athletic defensive guard with dlo bron AD and a big (wood or Haze) in the starting lineup and I specifically put AD at power forward so our defense can actually be great cause idk what made the lakers change mind set from 2020 when they won with ad at the 4. And if this don’t work welp go for curuso and try to get another back up big. To upgrade our pg depth and back up big(this is the more possible scenario)

LeBron pads his stat sheet w garbage time points and kickout 3pt assists... plays 1 in every 3 defensive possessions... the other two he barely gets back past mid court. He turns the ball over late in games... these are seemingly characteristics of post 36 LeBron... they weren't present before. However, he still hogs the ball when on the floor and takes poor shot attempts at moments that are detrimental to the team. He hasn't figured out how to not be a teams number one option, and the Lakers lose games due to it

They got carried by free throws last year. There are like 600 threads about this on r/nba looking at FT differential over the course of the season. Then, in the playoffs, they got carried by free throws as well, literally getting twice as many as Golden State over the course of the entire series. The Lakers aren't a good team, it is just profitable for the NBA if they're successful, so there is incentive in getting them wins through fouls.

GSW overwhelmingly played on the perimeter offensive whereas the Lakers play on the inside of the arc because the 3pt shooting is average at best. Top that with the fact that GSW was the smaller team at all times, of course the Lakers was gonna get fouled more and shoot more. Not to mention last year Austin, Dlo, and Dennis hunted for fouls routinely

I think Murray is highly overrated. Besides, for some reason I think he is an awefull teammate. He is, to me, always acting very wierd and over the top, but maybe thats the small sample size from what Ive seen .
