Who is Baywood?

hey, i hope this wont be too much but do you think you could do a tutorial on these artists achieve their sounds? (Summrs, Twinuzis, Izaya Tiji, Goonie) Many people say its just reverb and harmonizing but I know there's more too it. If you want, i could send you their fl studio presets and you could try to recreate it in Logic. Would mean alot.

Hi, thank you so much for this series of tutorials! They're extremely helpful for beginners! I just have one quick question. Is there a reason why you've picked the audio tracks to be stereo? I thought that you should leave them in mono since vocals are are usually recorded and mixed in mono? Will it affect my mix if I leave it in mono?

Gotcha, yea I actually do a deep dive in to this later in the series . But I just dublicate the track and drag the vocal dub onto it and turn down gain, mess with chorus , and experiment with different stuff to make it blend

Does the input have to be stereo or mono on the vocals bc you have it in stereo on the vocals

normally you want it mono, but it can also depend on the type of vocal sound you are going for. Maybe you want it to have a more stereo presence with your vocals.

Your channels clippings so the input to the compressor is to high... put a gain plug-in on the channel strip

My limiter is set to -0.1 so it’s not clipping

I know it doesn’t matter if your channels are in the red as long as the master isn’t but its just good practice to stay out the red.... but is it ok for your input gain on your compressor to be in the red like that?

Actually it would of been better to re record cuz the vocals were recorded a bit in the red as I can tell. But this style of music it’s very common for vocals to be in the red because it gives it a warm distortion sound and flattens it out
