I decided to experiment with a new kind of video, made in the style of an old cassette tape you'd find included with a children's book. Credit for The Last Dinosaur goes to Jim Murphy, with illustrations by Mark Alan Weatherby. I only take credit for the narration and editing. I highly recommend purchasing the original book.

I like how this book has a really, post apocalyptic feel. The world just feels empty.

What I like about this is that even if the fire was removed, there is still a subtle sense that something is wrong, the lack of other dinosaurs being the main, big openings with rivers usually have groups of dinosaurs drinking but they're aren't, just empty, even with the other Triceratops, small mammals and the T rex theres a sense of emptiness or loneliness or at least thats how I feel, it has a very strange post apocalyptic feel even though the earth is otherwise fine, it feels like we're witnessing the aftermath of some cataclysmic event I'd like to see other Dinosaur books, documentaries, movies do this, really show the end of an era, the depressing end of the largest land animals on Earth

Thank you for reading this story! So depressing though. I can almost feel her depression and despair. Imagine if you were the last of your kind yet you didn't know. Calling for someone. Anyone but you receive no reply. Your alone but you cannot grasp the concept that your the very last of your species. What a sad final days or hours those last surviving dinosaurs must of had. :(

The end of the book is one of the saddest things I've seen in a while. Just the title tells you her search is fruitless, her long trek to find any friend, useless. But she doesn't know that. As a herd animal she instinctively has hope. But, the title says it all. She never found another herd, another single Triceratops, not even another mere dinosaur, for she is the last of her kind. She is left on this empty earth to find a friend that does not exist.

What’s good about the book is how they made the animals are similar to animals today, in which is true. Many people think Dinos are ferocious killers, but because they had similar niches, they were probably similar.

Hey man, I didn’t know if you had a Twitter so I thought I’d leave this here. Yesterday was the last day of my trip to Disney World, and my first trip out of my state! While I was there I went on the Dinosaur ride, and at the gift shop I saw none other than the Carcharodontosaurus from Dinosaur Story! It brought a lot of memories back and I of course took him home as my only souvenir. I’m sorry if you don’t like hearing about such an old video anymore, but it made such a connection I thought I’d share it.

This was fantastic, maybe you could do a book that has a story told by pictures, for example the age of reptiles comics by Ricardo Delgado, and create your own interpretation of the story based off of the imagery provided But maybe for the journey and ancient Egyptians, tribal warfare and the hunt were a bit more cartoony

I've got a copy of this book from a thrift store. Also, I can hear sound effects from both One Million Years B.C. and King Kong 1976. Though I wished you used the T-Rex and Trike sound effects from Jurassic Park. They feel more like what they could've sounded like. (Though I'm not buying that they couldn't roar just because their modern relatives, birds, and reptiles couldn't)

@@louisholmes6961 It is strongly implied that the female Triceratops is the last surviving non-avian dinosaur, at least in this region if not the entire world (the author discusses this further in the afterword). She has no future and will die alone.
