We hope you enjoy this Memorial Day Tribute to our World War II Heroes. This is the reason they are known as the greatest generation.
Thank you to all of you who sent in pictures of your loved ones. Though we were not able to include every picture in this video, we looked at every one and read every story that was sent to us. We were deeply moved. Thank you again to those who will always be in our memories.

I am so proud of you three! Your voices are heavenly. My mother's brothers all served our country. My husband served in Vietnam. Jim doesn't talk much about it. Those soldiers were heckled and spit on when they came home. I hope they all see this tribute.

beautiful! My dad is 101 years old. He was a prisoner of war in Germany. After he was liberated he spent a year in the army hospital. He was sick and emaciated plus he'd lost the end of a couple of toes to frostbite. But he went on to live an amazing full life. I'm fortunate to have him and my mom still with me. They've been married 75 years.

Wonderful! My father made it to 100 years, 2 months and 13 days and died 2 years ago. He was proud of his service. It’s sad, but my mother died in 1993. The first thing he said was after she died was that he had hoped they would have 10 more years together, but he had 30 years without her. They had 45 years together. Your parents and you are blessed.

I don’t say this to brag even though I am proud of my family and their willingness to serve for mine and other peoples freedoms . I wish that the current generation felt that pride for our country. Lord help us if WW111 breaks out. My Great Uncles and two Great Aunts fought in WW11. 3 of them were decorated heroes. They were proud of our country and said that they would fight again if they had too. Unfortunately all of them are gone now, but they will never be forgotten nor will all of those who have served before and since. They all deserve our deepest gratitude, no matter color or rank.

This a beautiful tribute and very well done. I know you folks are Americans and this was done for your Memorial Day, but let me share the story of a dear friend Douglas ( God rest his soul ) who joined the Royal Navy at the outbreak of war in 1939 at 17 years of age and served in every region where the Royal Navy was deployed including the D-Day landings and the inavasion of Sicily and ended to the war in HMS Howe in the Pacific. He got home in 1946 ...7 years after he left home. They were indeed "the greatest generation"

When I was 12 years old, i played bugle in a drum corps. The local American Legion Post asked me to play taps at a soldier's funeral. Then they asked if I'd do another. And another, and another. Some of those being laid to rest were veterans of the Spanish American War. Some were veterans of WWI,. Others were veterans of WWII, and the Korean conflict (this was the mid to late 50's). To happen upon your tribute this evening has filled me with rememberance of things past. I cannot thank you enough for this amazing acknowledgement of the average person who, when called upon, answers. Billy Boyd's tribute to the Tokien's epic stories was the perfect choice for the music. Thank you, and thank you to the veterans, one and all...

Thinking of my Dad who went directly from medical school to serve as a medic in WW2 to help many a wounded vet on the battlefield - maybe even some in this video. Thank you to every service member who gave of themselves so unselfishly in their service to our country. 🇺🇸 ❤🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸

Heart swells of gratitude. Thank you for being so young, and yet bringing so much light to those who served. May God bless you!! To my grandfather Grover O. Phillips who served WWII and my uncles Stanley, David, Gordy who all 3 served on Navy submarines, your service is remembered with gratitude. And to all the other veterans and families out there, may God bless you and the legacies you can recount today, and forever. God bless you all, amen.

Thank you for using your talents to remember those who fought and died for our freedom. My Papa was Navy UDT (early SEAL program) in WWII. He was one of the first to use the bubble head suit and trained many other divers. I know he wasn't able to talk about most of what he did but the stories he did share were amazing. I miss his smile, his big hugs, his never-ending stories, and his love for gramma. He will never be forgotten. Thank you for giving me this moment to tell others how much I love him.

Lifein3D I just want to say you guys are "AWESOME"! What a touching, heartfelt tribute you have made. And thank you so very much for including my husbands father, William Harry Harrison Jr., in your beautiful tribute. Scott and I watched and were overcome with emotion. We both just sat on our sofa and wept. We have watched it numerous times and every time we are so moved. So grateful for all the men's and women's service and so grateful to be included in your beautiful offering of song. We love the thought that William Harry Harrison Jr. is now forever memorialized. And with that I would like to add some specific history about him: William Harry Harrison Jr. was a Staff Sargent 12th Marines. He served in the Marines from September of 1942 until January 1946. He was in Guadal Canal, Bougainville and Guam. He got malaria in Guam and was sent home to serve in Corpus Christi before he received his honorable discharge in January 1946. His unit went onto Iwo Jima so if it had not been for malaria, there is a good chance Scott wouldn't be here today. William Harry Harrison Jr. who went by, Harry, he was on the first day landings in Bougainville and Guam. He spent 56 days on the troop ship Crescent City waiting as a reserve troop for the invasion of Saipan. He received 3 Bronze Stars with the Asiatic Pacific Campaign metal. (His picture is the 2nd one shown in your video and William Harry Harrison Jr. is the 2nd man from the left 1st row)

Beautiful Yes freedom it’s such a beautiful and precious gift to have. We can not be grateful enough to all those young people who died for us. I’m from Normandy myself and the memories of what happened there is so vivid. We should cherish what they gave us by the ultimate sacrifice they made. We will remember them

My grandfather was a Merchant Marine captain of Liberty Ships taking supplies to Europe. He had three ships sunk from under him, and took a 14mm round in the leg. Before that, he fought in the trenches of WW1. My father stood fast at the Pusan Perimeter, in spite of a shrapnel head wound. They inspired me to serve in the Gulf War. They inspired my nephews, who were injured in Afghanistan. We've stood on the line to preserve democracy and the American way, proudly.

Thank you very much! I already loved this song, and now I love it even more. My dad served in WW2 in the motorized and medical troop that followed General Patton's troop everywhere. He didn't die in the war, but he died very early, at age 54. Watching the photos roll by reminds me very much of the photos that we have that were taken while he was overseas, as well. You did a WONDERFUL job of singing the song, as well as putting together this tremendous tribute to the military people pictured. Thank you again, and thanks to all the people who supplied you with the photos and memories.

Thank You for this tribute and the memories it brought, of my Mom and Dad's service during W.W.II ; She in the Red Cross in England during the bombings, and my Dad, as Radar operator / Bombardier in a B-24 in the Pacific. As a kid I remember their nightmares that occasionally happened and now, as a Viet Nam Vet, I can relate to and sympathize with what they went through.
