As a groomer, I kind of love that you learned how to groom Mocha at home as he has become elderly. The salon can be very stressful, particularly for senior dogs. If you are physically able, you should definitely learn to groom your elderly dogs at home. It's never a bad thing to know more about meeting the basic needs of your pets. Senior or not.

This kind of honesty, is a testament to your professionalism, and genuine concern for your clients (aka the animals). My old boy Charles, he is so afraid of abandonment, and being abused again. Before my husband and I adopted him, he spent 3 years in the shelter, but prior to the lovely shelter staff saving him, someone had tortured him. Those monsters stabbed and burned him with cigarettes, and dumped him on the freeway. Thank heavens that the shelter saved him, because my poor boy never knew love before being rescued by the shelter, and was moments from death. The sad thing is though, that to him, groomers are frightening, because he thinks he will be abandoned, and stabbed again - which is a reasonable fear, for a dog with such a horrifying background. Some dogs LOVE the attention at groomers, but for others, it’s traumatic. It’s so important for the those who work with animals, to speak out about what’s right for them, like you have done. Not only are you probably helping other senior dogs, or even traumatized dogs, but you are also showing you care about what is best for the animals. Thank you for caring for the animals you see, and even the ones you don’t. The profession of grooming, and your clients, are lucky to have you! PS: I hope this comment makes sense. I’ve suffered horrible brain damage (I flatlined from a medication reaction), and I worry my words are gibberish. My apologies if anything is incoherent, or if my spelling and grammar are off.

So true! Thank you so much for posting this!! Dogs often get overheated and extremely stressed. I worry about Wooyoo a little too only because of the heat and how many hours it takes to finish grooming her.

Thank you so much for sharing this ! I never learned to groom my maltipoo and when she was getting up there in her old age 13-15, the professional groomers had a harder time grooming her and I honestly did not know what to do. By then, me trying to learn to groom her became difficult as she did not like being brushed and sheers near her face. She had a health condition that learned to her passing at 15. I'm learning so much now about things I could have done differently via these forums. thank you!

I am still so fascinated by how caring and loving Mocha and Wooyoo were to Onneu as a baby. They were her constant companions, protectors and babysitters. I remember their excitement when you brought Onneu home the first time. They were definitely in love with their new little sister ✝✝

Wooyoo is literally human kid who understands y'all so well. How she knew that it will be my last grooming with my favourite person. Her expressions are binge to watch. Mocha's love language is totally different. And the best of all was Wooyoo giving kisses to her sister Onneu @ 7:42... just like your kids I'm too excited about your new place to see 🤗🤓🙏

이사때문에 바쁘셨는데 고생하셨네요 이사가 신경쓸게 많아서 보통일이 아니더라구요. 우유 관리받으니 꽃미모 머선일!!! ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 너무 뽀샤시 빛이나는 우유 우유 너무 이뽀라.. 미용사샘이랑 인사하는데 왜 제가 눙물이 나죠? 우유는 사랑이니까여~~ 모카 샤워 끝까지 봐주는 우유랑 온유랑 너무 사랑둥이들입니다. 좋은 집에서 또 좋은 일만 있을 거예요^^*

Don’t be sad because it ended, be happy because it happened. I was sad when my previous relationship ended and when I had to move houses. However, without that breakup, I wouldn’t meet my current partner. So thank all the memories and move on to greater days ahead ❤🎉
