To all the people answering me, it's really simple: Judaism predates Islam and Christianity by thousands of years, so you can't use either of those faiths to Explain Judaism. Jews were Original the Hebrews that came out of slavery in Egypt to mount Sinai and received the Torah (Orginal Bible or 'Old' Testament) from Gd. After living in Israel, they were attacked by invaders (Babylon, and then Rome) and scattered around the Earth. Some went west (to Europe), some East (to Yemen, Persia & even India) and some even went South (Ethiopia). Jews are not a 'color'. Skin color means NOTHING in Judaism (and in fact means nothing in any real measure of a human being), but the Jews of Israel today are in all colors and ethnicity's, yet all are brothers.

The real Jerusalem is in Yemen. The Jews of Yemen left the real Jerusalem and went to Palestine. Qedsh is in Taiz and Jerusalem is in Sana’a. Read the history well and the Hebrew language is a Yemeni Saba language The Jews of Yemen are the true Children of Israel. The Jews of Europe have no connection with the Children of Israel, and the Promised Land is in Yemen, not Palestine. The sons of Israel are a Yemeni tribe, this is the truth, and so is Jerusalem in Yemen

Yemenites do not call themselves "Jews". They say that the "Jews are Greeks". Yemenites call themselves "Yemenite Yahudim, we are not the Greek Jews". The term "Jew" did not arrive until the later centuries more recently and is of Greek-Latin origin, not Hebrew. Shalom

I'm Ashkenazi and even recent peer reviewed studies prove that Ashkenazim are indeed semitic and not similar to their host populations. Think genetic bottlenose affect, that Jews bred historically in closed communities and gentiles didn't often breed with Jews for a variety of reasons. There's so many studies that confirm this.

This is a very beautiful story and documentary. Unfortunately I do not understand the Hebrew. I would love to say the Yemenite Jewish Synagogue and Torah, and the the Yemenite Jewish Rite. I am really interested in the learning how they practice Judaism, and their interpretation of scripture and their religious traditions.

There were Jews, particularly from Yemen, who formed part of the old yeshuv before Israel was even founded. In other words, Jews from Arab countries were already returning before Israel was founded. There is a reason the British had two chief rabbis for Israel, and Ashkenazi and a Sephardi chief rabbi. One for the Ashkenazi community, the other for the Jews from Arab countries. So...your little theory on only Ashkenazi Jews is completely wrong.

Wow, u look very confused. First, I never said that there was not jews in Palestine before the creation of Israel. As I said, the jews who was Already in Palestine (meaning that they was already in since long time ago), they didn't wanted a state called ''Israel'', they just didn't wanted to create a state. They lived under Arab law without any problem. But when the eastern european jews (ashkenazi) immigrate in mass in Palestine, they wanted there own state, because of WWII.

Of course there are serious religious questions about a true "State of Israel", but in my view islamic countries are too dangerous for Hebrew persons, even intelligent and smart as Yemeni Hebrews are. In my view it could be safer to move into actual Israel not to form the "true Israel", but in order to avoid persecutions. There there is, at least, safety and life is not a daily bet. Well, if in the future Yemen will have become a safe Country, Yemeni Hebrews could return, of course

Nonsense? Go read your history facts. All about the WW2 was to establish Israel to create a state. If they were jews in Palestine for centuries, why did they wait until 1947 to create a state ''giving by God''? Im not deniying the Shoah, Im just telling that this was an excuse to create something. חחח למה ככה? אני חצי טריפוליטאי וחצי פרסי ואין לי חוויות טובות מהצד הפרסי, ובילדות גם שנאתי את כל הפרסים, אבל עם הזמן למדתי להבין שלא כל הפרסים ככה ולמדתי להעריך את התרבות. התימנים זו תרבות ייחודית, הכי שורשית. תהיה גאה שאתה חלק מזה, בלי קשר למשקעים משפחתיים כאלה או אחרים. הסתכלות על עדה שלמה דרך החוויה המשפחתית היא פריזמה צרה. חבל.
