@@sinisterisrandom8537 Not exactly. There are two unofficially named types of upgunned Chi-Nu. One features the Chi-To's turret mated to a Chi-Nu chassis, testing reports at Irago Firing Grounds on March 19th, 1945 show chassis No. 83 was used and the tank was reported to preform well. This is commonly known as Chi-Nu Kai. As for what we know as the Chi-Nu II sources indicate a similar claim of a standard Chi-Nu fitted with the Type 5 75mm. But no further details exist on this type.

The Japanese 47mm firing AP was quite capable at knocking out Shermans frontally even at 700m. The problem with the 47mm was there were never enough of them and the AP was even rarer. The APHE was much more common. The APHE round could not penetrate Sherman frontally but could penetrate the sides at up to 1000m.

I enjoy your videos, you do a good job with research (I assume I haven’t double checked or anything) and your tone of voice sits well with me. But I can’t help but laugh a little at the intro, “countless tanks all designed to kill” but I enjoy your videos and will be subscribing

It's not that the tank was bad, it's just that, by the time this tank was brought forward, Japan had already lost the war. With all their ships being slaughtered everywhere on the front, the manufacture, logistics and field support for this tank was all just a fantasy. Even if they had magically produced them in hundreds, they would only have ended up being sent flying by all the bombers out there.

Suicide is a horrible thing, I lost a good close friend to it. He was the one friend I had throughout childhood and up into school. I hope the people that think of it, never actually does it and gets help. R.I.P Ethan 1995-2018 Gone but never forgotten, I love and miss you brother 🥺.

It's easy to condemn those who commit suicide, but we never know the demons that plague them. I was in the medical field before retirement, and I have known of some who suicide for the most piddly reasons, and others in terrible situations that absolutely will not remove themselves. Life is a gift, not ours to take, even our own.

Since the US was producing 15,000+ tanks in 1942, 28,000+ tanks in 1943,15,000+ tanks in 1944 and 8,000+ tanks in 1945 , I really don't think ramping up to 25 tanks a month would have helped the Japanese much in the war .

Rest in Peace 2and900!! Suicide is such a devastating thing to do, let alone think about. Do not blame those who wish to do it, for it's a mindset you'd never want to experience. If you're having thoughts, talk to someone. Even if it's someone in this comment section, reach out and you might just help someone else as well. Love you all, hope we can all have a better day.

I really love your videos, especially about very special designs like the baby tank! But just a question/ suggestion: in your intro you're saying "all designed to kill" - well, what about great support tanks?! I had a look at your video list but didn't found any videos about them. Would it be interesting to make a video about them? Most armies depend on them (e. g. as normal recovery vehicles are not powerful enough to help tanks), and there are some interesting vehicles. Some examples from Germany: Dachs and Kodiak (engineer), Leguan (bridge layer), Keiler (mine sweeper), Büffel (recovery) and the ambulance variant of the small Wiesel tank. I know it doesn't quite fit into your normal repertoire, but it would be a nice addition, I think :)
