It only gets better from here. I can't say it gets lighter. I had to stop watching these episodes on Sunday nights, right before I went to bed. It wasn't good for my mental health. I just couldn't stop watching, though. It's so, so good.

I think this episode is the only episode I didn't cry. You're about to get into the real meat of the show, great but emotionally draining episodes. Episodes 5,8and 9 are especially good.

Seems you guys missed it, but when Kathleen was talking to the doctor he said that he hadn't told FEDRA anything about her brother and she replied that Henry did. That's why she's after Henry, he snitched on her brother to FEDRA which, given the nature of her discussion with the doctor, can lead us to assume that it resulted in her brother's death at FEDRA's hands. Kathleen clearly lives by, "snitches get stitches."

If you guys haven't seen four brothers yet, please react to it. It's such a good movie. Tyrese and Mark wahlburg are in it. It's about 4 brothers that were adopted and their adopted mother gets murdered. They go through hell and high water to find out who did it. Yall will love it!

Melanie Lynskey KILLED this role!! I never expected her to play this kind of character, and she did it beautifully! The way she hardened like steel and marched right to the doctor's cell and took that MF out like the gd Terminator was pure gold. (Though it is generally a bad idea to kill a doctor in the apocalypse. Js.)

Thanks for getting back into this series guys! I wish they did two spinoffs called "Breaking Even" and "Breaking Good." Haha shoot. Sorry I missed the premiere. Might I suggest watching the show "From?" If you like "Lost," its a horror version of that made by one of the creators of Lost. Its brutal AF and captivating .

3:55 So when the pandemic really got started, the province I live in (I’m Canadian) had split itself into regions 1-5. You couldn’t leave your region or face penalties, Publicly shamed etc (real dystopian type 💩) and the highways were DESOLATE. You could drive an hour and not see a soul.

Kathleen is searching for Henry because he ratted her brother out to FEDRA who subsequently beat him to death. Joel didn't hear the glass crunch because he'd rolled over onto his left ear in his sleep.

@@jhornacek In 1x04 Kathleen wonders aloud to Edelstein if this is the cell where her brother was beaten to death. She goes on to talk about him ratting people out to FEDRA. Edelstein says 'I never told them about your brother' to which she responds 'But Henry did. And we know he's still in the city. That's why she's looking for Henry in the episode.

Henry ratted out Kathleen's brother to FEDRA, which previous ran the QZ before they overthrew them. Joel didn't hear the glass because he didn't sleep the previous night and then turned around during his sleep, so that his bad hearing side was up.

She said that this cell was where her brother was beaten to death and that Henry ratted gave FEDRA information about him. If you seriously cannot put this together then that's your own disability but certainly not my fault as this is even easier than your 1+1 math question.
