I've never played the video game or seen the show, but the thing on the side of her face looks like some type of weathered ID/pass card, that curves up and it's shadow. Kind of looks like a fuzzy word or serial number at the bottom of it. Not sure if that makes any sense.

How awesome! One of the most memorable games for me. I'd like to see more game-esque tattoos. Edit to add Machinima because I'd love to see some Red vs. Blue tattoos.

On the favorite tattoo, I thought the dark under the eyes was the shadow of the girl standing on the car.

Fascinating tattoos. Thank you for explaining these were inspired by a video game. I would have never known. My idea of a great video game is "Hogs of War". Yeah, I'm not "fashionable".

Pony, I enjoy your critiques, and seeing "the good, the bad, and the ugly" and the work of the Featured Artists is always quite stunning. What will happen to your ears when you get to an age where you will no longer have gauges in them? Will they hang on your head like limp noodles or will you have them trimmed off?

Ever think about showing how you think the tattoo should look with your complete edits at the end of the critique so we can see a side-by-side comparison?

It's a fun idea, but generally it's frowned upon in art communities to "fix" another artist's work. So showing examples of how certain areas could be approached differently is fine, but showing an entire reworking of someone else's art would be insulting. Especially when put next to the original. So my guess is that's why those are never shown in the videos. The digital clips are just meant to illustrate the explanation, not to "fix" the art piece.

Unrelated to your video, but question... if a potential client came to you wanting a sleeve and a style but gave complete artistic freedom within the scope of that style, is that looked negatively on or generally ok? I know it's a case by case, but if I can avoid insulting someone I'll avoid it

Never played the game so take my input lightly but the tattoo of the day shadow looks like the shadow of a shotgun closer to the barrel. IMO

the lines on that Ellie portrait is a part of a building its a part of the smaller Ellie on top of a car facing a creepy building. You can clearly see the building outline IDK how you missed that
