Is it true that Queen Supalayat was jealous of court girls that Kind Thibaw took a fancy to and would have them bricked up in the Palace Walls? Of course Thibaw and Supyalat ended their days in western India south of Bombay. Tragic history. As always Whity gives a concise, clear and charming film history.

Shame I was not first LOL - Happy Valentine Whity. Mandalay used to have huge mosquitoes issues and I assume this is no longer the case? There used to be a SPITFIRE plane there or a Tank there from World War Two days. All British memories must have been removed, shame as they did drive out the Japanese
