LOAKAN AIRPORT UPDATE | Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the operation of the Baguio-Cebu-Baguio flight at Loakan Airport will be suspended starting July 1, 2024, due to rainy season. "Kasi pag rainy season maraming cancellation diyan, so hindi financially viable to sustain yung operation nila kaya for the meantime ngayong rainy season, talagang ihihinto muna nila." the mayor said. But the mayor said that the operation will resume soon, citing the increasing number of passengers in recent months. Rehabilitation and modernization of the airport is also ongoing.

Suspended naman pala kasi nga rainy season.... laking convenience din naman kasi pag eroplano.. imbes na sasakay ka ng barko, tapos land travel ulit paakyat ng bundok.. more than 1 day, compared sa plane more than 1 hour lang.

Yung nka chopper malamang family ni Lucio Tan yun, yung property lang nila alam ko may Helipad eh, parang nde na ata Baguio yun labas na, baka Tuba Benguet na.

Tsaka kase mas mahal ang PAL kesa sa Cebu pacific. Kaya kung ang Cebu Pacific ay nagsimula ang Cebu-Baguio, siguro medyo mas marami ang ibang pasahero sa Cebu-Baguio dahil mas mura ng konti ang Cebu Pacific.

@@lucascalma605 Maybe if 5J starts operating in Loakan pwedeng bumaba ang pricing ng PAL because they'll have competition pati may kahati na sila sa paggamit ng airport (which is most likely why ang taas ng ticket price nila).

Hindi na practical dahil meron nang TPLEX about 3 1/2 hours na lang ang biyahe from Metro Manila magandang na rin ang mga services ng mga bus companies tulad ng Victory Liner First Class and Royal Class and Genesis Joybus.

niche lang yung magiging market niyan if ever, most people will still go with their cars or ride a bus kasi 4-6 hours lang naman ang biyahe through tplex. (even destinations na mas malayo sa baguio na pwedeng magplane mas gusto parin nilang idrive/bus eh)

@@minhyuklees1bebe902 Sinasabi nila mas mabilis kung eroplano pa Baguio ang totoo kakainin lang ang oras mo sa airport check in, security checks malas kung matanim bala ka dyan at kung maantala ang flight mo mas mabilis na ngayon dahil 3-4 hours na lang ang biyahe via TPLEX.

tagal na ng airport until now hindi mahabaan, maluwangan, e ang china gumawa nga sa tuktok ng bundok. lalong kaya iyan gawin diyan na maging operational iyan may pundasyon na baga. hindi nyo ba magawa? kung akin yang airport na yan hindi ko pagagamitin ang parating palakansel na kumpanya.
