Salvation must be by the gift of Grace, if not a gift then you are earning salvation. If it is earned then salvation is a debt that God owes you. Can he who created all things be indebted to his creation? No, but every man that creates a religion , writes its holy book and makes himself central to the religion always goes the works route. Other examples include Mormonism, Scientology, Sikhism, and the Baha'i Faith.
