Hi, I am Sam’s little sister (and little 7 year old me in the video!). I have just found this video and am so glad it was made to spread awareness. Sadly, my brother passed away in 2016 ❤️🕊️, it was so nice to watch this video and be reminded of happy memories!

I had this when i was baby and thank God for saving me . My other big sister died of it when she was 4 years old

My husband had a cough with chest pain for months. Sleeping sitting in recliner to breathe easier. Was tired sleeping hours on end on weekends. One weekend he didn't show up and never answered calls. He was in hospital on a ventilator and we were told it was menengitis and his brain had swelled and they said he was gone. I couldn't accept it. He moved his fingers. But a decision was made to remove his support. I miss him.

Bless him and his family how you can be ok one min and be on deaths door the next things like this can happen I wish there was a free of disease and viruses world I just wish there was no diseases or illnesses or virus about sending everyone my love hope peace 💕

I thought it affected limbs?

Pneumococcal disease can cause meningitis (which may result in brain damage) or septicaemia (severe blood poisoning, which can result in limbs needing to be amputated). Sam didn't have septicaemia but he did have meningitis, which is what led to his disability.

No not always it can affect any part of the body it can happen just like that too
