The Latest Scleroderma Treatment Strategies

Rheumatologist Robert Spiera, MD, describes a new possible strategy that takes aim at B cells. The therapy is currently being studied through a clinical trial.

Please!! We need medicines to control or to stop the skin fibrosis, tightening, that reduce the collagen over production. Please scientists! Pharmaceuticals help us 🙏🏽👨🏽🔬🔬💊 This is one of the most strangest, and cruel of the autoimmune diseases. A disease that turns into mummies. Please give us hope. Help us!! 🙏🏼

I know how its caused. It's caused from a allergic reaction to "chiggers" it's a insect that lives in bamboo and underbrush in gardens and they bite and cause a reaction of hardening skin over the courseof 1month to years after. It's extremely itchy and causes you to want to rip your skin off it's so itchy. And your skin changes. Ectect alot of reactions happen afterwords.

Чому ніхто не працює аби винайти лікування цієї хвороби чи це для вчених світу не є проблемою адже хворих стає більше і більшість дітей теж хворіють чи це генетичне захворювання для них як космос який весь час будуть досліджувати а в нас часу на жаль не має дуже хочемо і надіємось на вас вчені дорогі будь ласка благаємо від імені кожної хворої дитини і людини знайти вихід у лікуванні Боже милосердний допоможи їм впоратися і подолати цю страшну хворобу будемо вірити і чекати іншого видно не дано

Totalmente cierto. You're totally right. I think the same. It's a terrible disease. And I can't believe there's nothing yet to stop the progression and we the patients are suffering too much. I was misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia Lyme lupus, but any doctor suspected Scleroderma despite my symptoms. They dismissed me and my positive anas, and antibody, which left me without the right diagnosis for years. That had been horrible!! I hope a cure or direct medicines to stop the progression can be found. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I was misdiagnosed for years also. But I have limited scleroderma (CREST syndrome). My fingertips and arms are so full of calsinosis that the pain makes it almost not able to function many days of the month. And people think that you can just suck it up and do things they want you to do without understanding how difficult it is. I’m also allergic to fragrance which is in almost everything. That compounds the problems and pain. I’m on so many drugs but praying always for a cure or better treatment. Wish no one else will ever have scleroderma….
