Bushnell Launch Pro - I no longer have it because I traded it for the GCQuad. I would still recommend this as the best portable launch monitor for most people.

If Bushnell decides to create a free version of the range simulator with ipad connectivity, it'd easily steal the marketshare from Uneekor. I just want to purchase a unit with no subscription fee for my indoor garage setup and be able to see my yardages and shot trajectories. Looks like Uneekor is the better option for me.

Yup. If a subscription is a deal killer then uneekor gives you access to the view software without one. If you don’t need portability you could save even more money and go with eye mini lite.

Awesome comparison. I recently switched to the GC3 (need it to work overseas) from the Skytrak+ and I'm glad I did. It was a sizeable investment, but it's nice having a bigger hitting area and the numbers are spot on every time along with no lag. Now my only subs cost is $250/year going forward for GSPro as FSX Play courses are laughably expensive. I imagine they will switch to a software subscription model soon.

It’s a pretty significant difference…. I’ve wondered if they will do that as well. I’m sure they will always let you buy courses outright because people have already spent lots of money to “own” them but I could see an annual subscription that gives you access to the entire course library. It would probably be crazy expensive too. If you like FSX Play at all I would just wait until courses go on sale and pick them up then….

I think if they sell an FSX play subscription for more than $500/year they would be making a mistake. I wonder how many people actually buy those premium courses when they go on sale… especially since GSPro is just as good or better and includes more than you could ever use.

FYI the Eye Mini has a perfect little slot under the row of buttons to hold an alignment stick. That's how I align mine.

Great video, thanks for taking the time to put it together! I have been wanting to pull the trigger on the BLP, but the $1500 extra (or $1750 after the 2 week trial) for club data, AND the $499 yearly Gold subscription, AND $250 yearly GSPro subscription, AND about $1500 or so for a gaming computer to run simulation is really a tough pill to swallow (not to mention your wife wanting a divorce). Maybe someday, when I hit the lottery. Question: knowing what you know now about the GCQ, would you still have traded in your BLP? Or was there enough features in the GCQ that separates it from the BLP and justifies the hefty price tag?

lol, I know the feeling. Simulators can feel like a money pit. To answer your question about the Quad, if I were not creating online content around simulators then I would not have gone for it. The BLP or GC3 would probably be my go-to launch monitor. From the quad I love that the face impact location shows up right on the display and I do look at face to path but both of those things are not necessary. I can just look at club path and sidespin.

Just sharing some info but I just bought my BLP 2 weeks ago and got the 20% discount from the golfer's journal. Not sure if you know about it but if you subscribe to the golfers journal for the $60 digital rate, you'll get a coupon in the member locker for 20% off the BLP. I bought the club data at 3500 - the 20% discount which came up to just over 2750. That was the same price as the sky track plus which I returned...

In FSX Play, is there a way to play courses as part of 3’s, like you can in GS PRO? Or there at least some included par 3 courses?

There are 2 par 3 courses included and you can of course purchase others. Unfortunately the normal courses don’t have par 3 tees like gspro.

Something that I have found if you have three M on your shoe or anywhere on the lower half of your body which you might not think of and a lot of shoes have you will get crazy readings. I have Launch Pro and couldnt figure out why all the sudden I was getting no reads and crazy readings it was my shoes just to put it out there for people.

I know used to own the Mevo. Any reason you would not recommend that device? My group has left and right handed players and it is a plus to be able to accommodate both positions.

I still have it! It's an awesome device but camera-based units generally offer better spin readings and do better with indoor simulation (especially chipping and putting). They all have compromises between price, software, accuracy and features so it can be very situational. I don't know any lefties nor do I have other people using my sim so it's not really a factor for me personally.

@@marksoftich5215 You're going to love the Sigpro Softy. I used to get wrist pain with my Amazon mat, but then I got the Softy hitting strip and all that wrist pain went away. It feels amazing and also penalizes bad shots.

Having the club data will be helpful if you are using it to work on your swing. Specifically club path and attack angle.

I did not. I actually filmed this right before it was announced. I think the Lite will win over a lot of people that have no interest in using the launch monitor outdoors.

The unit will work without a subscription and display data on its screen but in order to connect to any app or software it needs a subscription.

lol I knew this would be coming! There are so many options and subscriptions involved in everything it just comes down to everyone’s personal needs. For those that don’t need a portable launch monitor it might be hard to pass up.

It will probably be the best option / price for a high quality simulator launch monitor unless you don’t care about club data (blp balI only). Personally I would not want to use Uneekors software alone so I would always want to add gspro.

I think both have pros and cons honestly. Both are incredibly accurate. Im looking at one of these within next 6-12 months and im having a hard time wrapping my head around all the insane add on costs of BLP even though its where im leaning. The fact its $499 a yr and then you still have to buy courses is F’ing insane. $750 a yr to run BLP with GSPro vs $500 a yr with eye mini. Sorry but if im paying you $3500 i should not have to pay you an additional $500 a yr just to use its features that then allows me to use GSPro. I paid $599 for my R10 and can use both GSPro and TCG19 at ZERO additional cost from garmin. So theres my very long answer of why many of us are turned off by BLP, when does feeding hundreds of dollars a yr to use for what you already paid for stop?

I agree with this. I have the BLP and I'm still it within the 30-day return window and debating what to do. I upgraded from the SkyTrak Plus which I thought was a piece of garbage. Maybe the the lite version of the mini Will solve all my issues but I don't wait till the end of March. Since I got 20% off on the BLP through the golfers journal discount, my gut is to stick with the BLP.

@@cmehta12 it’s a HARD decision, I trust the numbers of the BLP More but for $750 a year….. I can’t justify that financially. Eye mini lite might be my choice but if I had the money I’d go BLP no questions asked.

@@grindano technically, it's 500 more a year. The 250 to GS pro has to be paid no matter what launch monitor you have so that's out of the equation. But I understand what you're saying

Depending on the software and launch monitor, putting can be really good on a simulator. GSPro for software and a launch pro / foresight launch monitor is fantastic.
