I really enjoy hearing you play with minimal reverb and delay. Your playing shines through without all the lush time based effects.

Sounds very smooth. The amp I play the most is my '57 Custom Deluxe. I just turn it up to to about eight and control the drive with my picking hand. Only twelve watts and just verges on being loud.

@John Nathan can you please do a lesson video for the intro you played it sounded amazing and there were a couple of sounds you went to that I really liked right around the 4 minute mark. Thanks mate =)

Don't know if they can be found in the Northern Hemisphere but there's an Aussie company called Artist who do a magical 20w valve tweed combo. Amazing amps in their own right

Thanks for sharing this! This Amp was on a short list I was looking for a couple of years back but it was so hard to find one on the used market here in the US and pricey when you happen across one. I ended up stumbling into a less than 1 yr old used Tone King Imperial MK II for a killer price and never really looked back except to wonder if I might still find an obtainable Lazy J 10 and what I might do about it if I did. I do love the Tone King, though, and my life loves the built-in attenuator. ;-)

From what I saw in this video I still feel like the DT25 1x12 from line 6 is the best small amp I own. I would love for line 6 to make another series of these amps a DT15 would be PERFECT for me, I don't need so much power as it has now, and less weight would be appretiated as well.

I use both digital (Kemper) and now, a Lazy J 10 (previously hand wired Princeton). Horses for courses…but l know that when I’m playing, for pure enjoyment, hot tubes win out every time.

I’m on the verge of selling my Princeton with an attenuator for either a half-Watt Dark Gene or the 1-Watt Marshall. It feels like anything more is huge overkill for home use. Why not get an amp sized to the task rather than trying to workaround-in various ways-an oversized amp? Even if I were to take it gigging, I’d mic it up anyway. Although my tube amp is just a bit of fun while my modelers and JC-40 are my workhorses. I just wish I could get a half- or 1-Watt combo with at least a 10-inch speaker. I’ve never understood why low-Wattage combos so often get saddled tiny speakers.

@John Nathan seen a couple of amp repair channels open a couple Lazy J's up they said they are very overpriced and not well put together. I've personally wanted one for a very long time might still get one in the future too love the way they sound.

Wonderful playing as ever , love to tone of the Amp , but in the real world of playing then that Amp is way out of reach of a club and pub band player , so will stick with my Fender blues deluxe and atenuater

The only setup people should consider is quad cortex with fender fr12. Nothing else matters. The cortex can be debatable. But the fender fr12. ZERO reason to get any other speaker. Unless you’re a super super audiophile.
